News Obi-Wan Kenobi series premiering on May 27

/\ there is also Vader's line in Return of the Jedi where he says that "Obi-Wan once felt as you do" in regards to redeeming Anakin. That implied another meeting between the two in between episode 3 and 4 because I don't remember any attempts by Obi-Wan to bring Anakin back to the light in Revenge of the Sith.

For that, it's arguable that all you need is some of the Anakin and Padme dialogue from ROTS. Anakin may have learned this - how Obi-Wan felt - from Padme. ( Other than that, he did try to get him to back down at one point during the fight, for whatever that's worth. )

I said I wouldn't watch this after not liking Boba-Fett but... well, I like Ewan Macgregor so... I'm going to give it a shot tonight.

It's nice that they're starting to do physical releases for the people who want them.

Someone break the news to McGregor that they are calling it 'The Complete Series'.

I still think they could do more with him. Have him fight Maul or something. Just retcon Rebels, or say that one was a clone.

Considering the Ahsoka series and the connective tissue there, I doubt sincerely they’ll retcon Rebels.

Yeah, if they ever redo that scene in live action, you can bet it'd be a beat-for-beat recreation.

Just as with the seemingly inevitable dovetail between Rebels & Andor with Mon Mothma's flight from the senate; there is a way to retell that story in a different medium without it being redundant.
All we saw of that whole thing was Ezra's perspective. Maul could have been wandering that desert for weeks, or months while Ben played cat and mouse games with him before his resorting to bringing Ezra into the mix. There could be a whole other story going on there, and all we saw was a brief intersection. Plenty of room to play with if need be.

I'm not saying they have to go there, or even will at all; just that it's not impossible.

I doubt they will, since it's set so close to ANH and features the Alec Guinness-aged character. I know they've now had Genevieve O'Reilly play post-ROTJ Mon Mothma but I suspect they won't venture that close to Old Ben with Ewan.

I don't see that as a reason not to do it. Ewan is only a decade away from the age Alec Guinness was when he first played the role, so I could easily see that happening sooner rather than later.
Besides at this point I'm pretty sure that when most fans think of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the version that first comes to mind first is either Ewan or James Arnold Taylor, or both. So i think there would be a lot of interest, especially from those that grew up on the PT or Clone Wars to see Ewan as Old Ben.

***Hands over ears*** No no no, Alex Guinness is still my Obi- Wan and surely the one everyone thinks off.

Please allow me to live in denial as an old man.
