O. J. Simpson has died

I only know of OJ Simpsons acting career mostly the Naked Gun movies and the old wacky natural disaster movie that he was in from the 1970s.

He was pretty hilarious in the Naked Gun movies anyway.

I didn't watch the car chase. The only memory of OJ I really have is those commercials where he'd be running through the airport at full speed. I can't even remember what they were advertising for.

I don't believe in Hell so if their is a afterlife I assume he is right now coming to terms with all his mortal shortcomings and realizing the true meaning of his existence. Transitioning from life to death being the ultimate form of self reflection that all living beings go through once their time is up on this planet.

Simpson was okay as Nordberg. Their is a reasons though his movie career never took off like it did for other football players like Jim Brown or Fred Williamson .

He appeared in the season 6 episode of Here's Lucy, "The Big Game". It's so weird to watch when you know what we now know about him.

well musicians do better as actors in movies. go watch Mick Jagger in Freejack. He's actually really good in that movie. and of course Sting in the old 1984 Dune movie

That's true. You also got Meatloaf and Dwight Yoakam as examples. Also Jennifer Lopez and many others. Heck I will even say it. I love Elvis Presley movies. I know he can't act so much as play himself but they are still fun and the music is fun.

Elvis never knew what the song "Jailhouse Rock" was really all about, did he?

Seriously, poor dude actually thought it was really about rocking out in a jailhouse. It's actually about
prison rape
.

Somewhere on my drives I have some images from the OJ Easter eggs that were found in Duke Nuke'em 3D. The Bronco on all the TVs. The 'Innocent?' with the bloody question mark. The 'Guilty!' with the bloody exclamation mark.
The irony being that even that sexist game proclaimed the truth.

Elvis was actually pretty good in his early movies and I thought he did a better than average job as a "Man with no name" type in the western "Charro" (I think the only non-musical he ever did). If he'd been given better, more challenging, roles (as opposed to an endless strip of "musically inclined race car driver" roles) I think he'd have turned into a reliably good actor.

My father gave me a box of glass-plate negatives that my great-grandfather had taken of the family at the turn of the 20th century. My wife thought they'd be cool to print and put up on the wall, so she got her old enlarger out of the attic, set it up in the spare (windowless) bathroom in the basement, and spent the day locked away in there printing old photos. What day was that you ask? "Hey honey, OJ Simpson killed his wife and they're having a car chase!" I kept her updated throughout the day by yelling thru the door. She didn't want to stop printing once she got started. The pix look nice (still up in the entry hallway), but she still regrets having missed the chase live.
