NX Redesign

I love it. Although, it looks like something that would come between ENT and TOS. I always thought the ENT Enterprise should look even less like the "typical" Starfleet ship, although I can understand why TPTB would want it to resemble the iconic ships the audience has come to recognize.

I always thought that a great redesign for the NX came out of the game Star Trek: Legacy.
The Poseidon class strongly resembled the NX, but it ditched the Akiraprise look. Just take the Poseidon, loose the "rollbar", have the nacelle pylons facing upward, and BAM!

Another great Legacy ship, the Minuteman Class. She looks like she could have been a predecessor to the Daedalus.

I remember seeing those ships when the :star trek-legacy:game came out, and going WOW! And I had the same thought's looking at the ''Poseidon'' as you did, in fact I wonderd if B&B ever allowed the artist's to ever come up with anything like the mentiond design? And I love the ''Minuteman'' design. Just beautiful! Hey ''muffintop'' are there any ''orthos'' of these ship's?

Unfortunately, there aren't. I'm hoping either some of the Legacy modders I know (since Filefront is gone, I am now quite limited) could get some orthos, or maybe Flanker over on SFM could work some up.

I was thinking about my design as a part of the lineage of the Enterprise development,maybe not a replacement for the actual NX , but a different NX starship.
In fact ,as part of the comments points,his nacelles are indeed bigger (and powerful ) than those of the NX- 01, even the overall size of my ship is somewhat bigger than the NX-01 starship, maybe more close to NCC-1701
About the texture...my ship is part of a line of NX designs,so is not out of place that his hull should be the same material/texture of those in all of the NX series.
Is in fact a different ship but is also a part of a development line.
Maybe in the orto views,the total proportions of the starship will be more clear.
Actually I don't think too much about the background of my ship,you know... specs and stuff .
I made this just for fun!...After all ,always there is something to change or improve...
Regarding to ST:Legacy I don’t know too much about,sorry, but I like the Minuteman Class design that you say Johnnymuffintop…wow ! fantastic design !!…to me, it’s like a military improvement of the Daedalus class.
Question : Those designs in the pics are physical models?...because I’m a modelmaker too.

That is some fine work!! I like the design much better than the NX-01. It'd be cool if the top dome glowed like the bottom one. Hope to see some more renders!

@RAF-MX, Yes, the picture of the Minuteman class are of the model from Legacy.
I'd suggest downloading it off of the Legacy Filefront, however, Filefront is no more.
So I'll see about getting orthos. PM me so I can give you the contact info of my Legacy modding friends.

As for your model, seeing the orthos makes me like it better. Didn't notice how the bottom of the saucer looked. Still think the engineering hull should be a bit wider, maybe make the nacelles longer too, they look a little stubby.
