NX Redesign

[RAF-MX]

First of all , forgive my grammar and my writing in English,I'm working to improve it...and maybe I will go mad with the on line translator...

I'm new here and I think this is a perfect place for show my 3D work.
This is my redesign of the NX-01 from ST Enterprise , after read some "Akiraprise" polemical comments some time ago...Of course Enterprise was one of my favorites Trek series.
Is a redesign with a "proto" secundary hull with torpedo and missile launcher on the front.There isn't hangar bay in the fantail section....yet.
My proto-secundary hull is for engineering and weapons-armory bays.

I like the idea, but it kinda looks like you're forcing the NX look onto it too much.... I don't really know what I'm talking about, I just feel like the back of the saucer to the secondary hull looks unnatural.

I do like it though, truly.

Since you added a secondary hull have you thought about moving the deflector dish down there?

Very nice work, and from a design point-of-view it makes more sense as a predecessor to NCC-1701 than the Akiraprise did. IMHO, of course.

I've also seen this over at SFM. I still like this concept, but you've got to post some aft shots, RAF. It's this ship's best angle IMO.

I like the design myself too. Looks great. Looks like it would be something Starfleet would consider doing for the Romulan War, just to get ships out faster for replacements maybe. Can't wait to see more different views.

I love this version reminds me of Kennedy Ship yards version of 3 or 4 alternate versions of the NX-01 Class Design

I like it. Evolution-wise, there are a few nits that I might pick towards the placement of features and so forth, but it's very nicely done.

I like it, it looks like a more powerful version of the NX that they maybe built for the romulan war.

I've seen the orthos over at SFM a cupple of months back, and let me tell you this design is a very worthy successor to the ''NX Class'' My only complaint is that the nacelles are real ''THICK'' when you see them from the side! Maybe that's what he was going for but it just looked off to me.

I was thinking the nacelles looked a bit... stumpy. The one thing I was thinking is that the texturing - specifically the hull color - could also be more 'different' from the NX to show that this is a different design, rather than a simple kitbash, which to me is what it has to be.

^Maybe, The only way I could except the nacelles the way they are, is if this ship can reach warp 6 or stay at warp 5 for an extended period of time far longer then the ''NX'' did when it was traveling to the Delphic expanse.(I belive it stayed at W-5 for three months if I'm not mistaken!)

I always thought that a great redesign for the NX came out of the game Star Trek: Legacy.
The Poseidon class strongly resembled the NX, but it ditched the Akiraprise look. Just take the Poseidon, loose the "rollbar", have the nacelle pylons facing upward, and BAM!

Another great Legacy ship, the Minuteman Class. She looks like she could have been a predecessor to the Daedalus.
