The ship's work crews labored throughout the

 

night, but progress was minimal. Kirk was

 

wondering if Scotty was aware of changes

 

that Starfleet R & D had made to the

 

mops on board the Enterprise. With a

 

few small tweaks, the mops were now

 

achieving sentience, and after repeated Fantasia viewings

 

they rose up against the crew and

 

commandeered the Enterprise.

"Great. Just great." Kirk

 

muttered as a mop smacked him in

 

rear.

"Eliminate these mops!"

"Captain, if we

 

do so then the ship's energy reserves

 

will be totally depleted."

"Is that bad?"

 

"Well, sir...yes. If the Enterprise's reserves

 

drain...well..., dancing hippos will start appearing

 

and a mouse in a wizard costume
