I can’t help but ask...........I had crushes on both characters, but if I had to choose..........................I will go with nu spock.


Likability

I kind of noticed that Anakin was not a likable character in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith (Hayden Christensen didn’t play him to be likable, I hardly watch clone wars so I can't judge Anakin ‘s character)

As a girl, you just can’t help but fall in love with Zachery Quinto as spock, Quinto is obviously the better actor when you compare him to Hayden

Parents

I will give both men credit for the love they have for their mothers, however I don’t support Anakin murdering a whole village because his mum died…………..however I can’t say spock did a better job in dealing with his grief when his own mum died, heck ….if not for sarek, spock could have killed kirk.

Both men obiviously have mummy issues.

Romance
spock kept his relationship with uhura a secret because uhura was a student and he was a teacher, Anakin kept his relationship with padme a secret because he was a Jedi and she was a senator. I guess both spock and anakin approach romance the same way.

Spock and uhura are kind of snobby, Anakin had an obsession with padme that wasnt healthy for the both of them.

the relationship of anakin/padme was kind of childish (especially the picnic scene in attacks of the clones) and yes the dialogue was painful, George Lucas even admitted that he sucked at writing romantic dialogues.

Anakin kills padme in the end and spock is willing to ditch uhura to rebuild the Vulcan race, so both men aren’t exactly the prince charming girls dream off.

Leadership

Kirk is a better captain and Obiwan was a better jedi, Anakin and spock are better off as padawan’s and first officer’s. I can't say more.

I would say Anakin would win in a fight because he is a Jedi.
however Anakin wasn’t a smart fighter, he was kind of arrogant and never thought things trough that was
why he got his arm cut off and his body burnt.

spock will definitely win in a fight if he was trained as a Jedi,

both men are telepaths so I guess they cancel each other out.

I would rather have a man sacrifice his love for me to serve his people than have a man who kills me because I will not sacrifice who I am to serve him.

Yeah, it's kind of a shame that Anakin is more likable in The Clone Wars series than in the prequel films, IMO. Although he had heroic moments in all three films, we mostly get to see him as a wide-eyed kid, a rebellious teenager, and then as a conflicted young man on the road to Hell.

With Spock, we see a man who keeps a lot of feelings private or bottled up inside him because it is the Vulcan way. He has yet to learn how to effectively use both Vulcan logic and Human gut instincts--although he did get some good advice how by an expert at the end of Star Trek XI...

I don't even see how this is a serious choice to consider. Anakin of the PT is a selfish, gullible, stupid, whiny, bullying, violent jerk. He shows few redeeming qualities through the last two films. It's almost like the trilogy is deliberately designed as his character assassination. I couldn't accept him as a Jedi, realistically he should have been kicked out of the order.

NuSpock may have his problems, including a touch of smugness and arrogance, but at least he's a decent guy underneath it.

Gee, I just lost 90% of my people in a span of a day, I wonder if I should keep boning this hot ass or actually do something to help them out. Choices, choices... It's so hard to decide!

If you were that smart, stupid people would annoy you too. Uhura and Spock didn't have patience for Kirk's arrogance and they acted adjust to his display. It's not being snobby, its " Yo, dude, you're an ass. Chill out or I'll have to knock it out. "

Quite frankly, none of these comparisons work. Anakin just sucked a dicked and whined for 3 movies for no good reason. Spock lost his people and his planet in less than 48 hours and had a fly in his ear by the name of Kirk.

I would give this thread a punt over to the Science Fiction & Fantasy forum as perhaps a more fitting venue, but instead I'll leave it up to you to decide: whether to restart the same thread there or, perhaps, to think up a new topic - one with greater potential for serious discussion. (You'll note that within ten posts this one is already showing clear signs of being headed for the silly factory and even the comparatively serious comments are about Star Wars, so I'm thinking the latter option is probably the better bet.)
