Or get to the bottom of it all and finalize a conclusion once and for all.
But if you think it's bad now in this thread imagine me dissecting the "Year Of Hell" episode of Voyager with all of the Krenim Imperium temporal incursions to bring his wife back and discuss all those different timelines and NuVersion of each one and Mirror version of each one, as well as the parallel universes for each one by extension!

Yeah, the problem is that the MU diverged from the regular universe at about the time of First Contact, and was completely different from there.Credit goes to Squiggy for the original diagram. All I did was make a copy, flip it, then stack them on top of each other. An amusing effect, I thought. The mirror diagram made me! I guess I missed that the first time around.

Or it diverged at some point much earlier or significantly later -- exactly when remains a bit murky. The First Contact discontinuity is reflected in the diagram, however (more clearly visible in the original simple version) and to monkey about with altering the mirrored diagram would have been to complicate a joke unnecessarily. (Think of it as a sort of Occam's Razor of Funny.Yeah, the problem is that the MU diverged from the regular universe at about the time of First Contact, and was completely different from there.Credit goes to Squiggy for the original diagram. Following that line of thought, nuReg Barkley would have a million nuVRs, all by himself. That's right, and it doesn't just stop with Parallel Realities, but also the virtual realities as well.
NuMoriarty and NuCountess would be locked in a NuHolocube, and there would also be a NuFairhaven where NuHarry Kim kisses a NuCow.
Pshaw. The real temporal incursion happened in City of the Edge of Forever. When MU McCoy and MU Kirk, went back and rescued- almost killed MU Edith Keeler. MU Kirk and McCoy decided that rather than put things to right, they'd rather rule the world, Nu-MU Kirk and Nu Keeler eventually becoming the first Emperor and Empress of Nu-MU Terran Empire. With McCoy as the evil power behind the throne. Trouble always ensues when the MU and the NU-MU universes collide, cuz they all want to rule the world. Which should safely keep the whole MU continuum busy interfering with each other, and creating new universes ad infinitum.
