Nude Dreaming

In one episode of Voyager, Tuvok dreams that he forgets to dress and arrives on the Bridge naked. It seems that many people have a similar dream about being naked in public.

Not me - the nearest I get is I sometimes dream that I accidently go shopping in my nightie but that is about it. I don't know if this shows something about my personality or not.

So people, have you ever had such a dream? Caught either naked, in your underwear, in your nightie or some other form of clothing you would be embarrassed to be publicly be seen wearing?

Or better still, have you actually been in public in such a state (no dreaming)?

As far as I remember, I've never dreamed about being naked in public. Even if I did, it wouldn't have bothered me much, as I have zero problems with nudity.

Pop psychology usually associates dreaming of being naked with feelings of guilt, shame, vulnerability, and fear of being seen as they really are. That's definitively not me. But as they say, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I tend to keep my clothes on while awake **notes the collective sigh of relief** but I've been having Tuvok-like naked dreams since I was about 8 years old. Being dressed inappropriately also features strongly in my dreams, as do trains. I have no idea what this says about me, and I'm not sure if I really want to know!

Every time i've had nude dreams i was doing stuff that required me to be nude.

It's not whether you have problems with being naked. It's usually a question of other people having a problem with you being naked.

I used to dream of being nude in a public place fairly frequently. But my dream-logic would tell me, "If you just act normally as if nothing's wrong, nobody will notice that you're naked." And the sad thing is, nobody did!

I've had plenty of dreams where I have been naked. No one seemed to care one bit in any of them. Being naked in public wouldn't bother me, but the police might have issues with it, so I tend to err on the side of caution.

Yes, but since those "other people" would be actually inside my head, any reaction they would display at my nudity would have been a reflection of my own inner feelings about it. Kinda like Inception, but with more willies and less drama.

I don't think I've had dreams where I've been totally naked in public, but occassionally dreams where I've forgotten to put on some of the appropriate clothing. Nudity doesn't bother me and in those dreams I only worry about it bothering others, but it doesn't bother me.

I don't recall having any dreams of being nude in public. As a child, I did have recurring dreams about going out in public wrapped in a warm comforter, but that brought no feelings of anxiety. I honestly have no idea what it did mean.

My anxiety dreams tend to be a bit more obvious. A cherished friend says, " I don't like you." Or they get eaten by zombies. Once, when I was about sixteen, I had a dream where someone walked in on me as I reached into a cabinet for a bottle of pills marked "penis enlargement." I wonder what that meant?

One dream I have had, though, which lots of people seem to have, is the dream where all your teeth start falling out.

Never had the naked dream, either, but have had my teeth fall out in dreams quite a few times. That, and missing the school bus- even though it has been decades since I was taking the bus to school!

My naked dreams are a bit different from other people's. I periodically dream that I'm walking around naked at work (or maybe I'm back at school) and I'm naked because it's a special privilege and only I get to do it. Everybody else is jealous.

I dreamed that I was at work in pajamas once. I woke up shortly after concerned by the thought that I had missed part of my shift, lol.

Yeah Ive been naked in public...on beaches, but I cant recall ever dreaming of it.

The only naked dreams I ever had were when I was younger. They always involved myself and at least 1 girl. Those usually ended up with a quick trip to the clothes hamper and the bathroom. (not my fault, i was sleeping )

I have all kinds of weird or anxiety dreams but i don't think i've ever had this one. I usually have the "I'm in school and discover we are about to have a test and i didn't study for it" one.

Or i'm flying and being chased by people on the ground but i cannot fly any higher than right above their heads so they can grab me with their hands if they try.

i hate those dreams!
