CYLON BASESTAR
Admiral Standish and Captain Fox merely looked to each other, as Standish finally broke the silence.
"What the frak was that? What did we just see?" he asked Fox.
Captain Fox wore a look of total bewilderment and confusion as to how this vision was possible, as he replied.
"I think we just saw the exodus... the end of the Clymian War. We saw Earth." he stated, stunned, as the Hybrid suddenly came to life again, and began talking in fast sentences.
"This has all happened before, and will happen again... the one true God shall rise up, and drive out the many. The cyclical trinity is complete, and the children are now of age. End of line." she stated, as one of the Simons walked over to Captain Fox, and carefully began to draw a blood sample, as Cavil and the others looked on.
"What the frak is she talking about? The Clymian War... what was that?" Standish asked Fox, firmly.
Finally, as Simon finished taking his sample, Fox looked to Standish, and began to recount the tale, from what he was taught about his people's history.
"The Clymians... our version of what you call Cylons... at first, on our world, both of us lived together in peace. But after a while, something began to happen, amongst our society... some of the population began to once again worship a polytheistic pantheon of Gods." Fox began.
"What's wrong with that? That's what everyone on the Twelve Colonies believes." Standish offered.
"And that may well be the reason why your twelve, and those from Emilon and Omiron stayed behind, removing themselves from our first exodus fleet... they did not share our belief in a single God." Fox replied.
"What are you saying?" Standish asked.
"It was us... we were the reason that humanity was expelled from Kobol. We refused to worship the many gods, and believed in a single diety. The Gods saw this as an abomination, and an act of rebellion, and as punsihment, the humans were exiled from Kobol. But we were the only group who followed a single God. The others... your twelve, and the Emilon and Omiron groups... they may have stayed behind, not wanting to bear punishment for something brought upon them by us." Fox stated. "In any case, the Clymians on our world decided that those who taught and followed the blasphemous ideals of plural Gods should be purged, to purify the world. They rose up, and began nuking our cities, our orbiting ships, and stations." Fox added.
At this point Cavil chimed in, as both men turned to face him.
"It should be pointed out, Admiral, that WE also believe in a singular God." Cavil stated.
For a long silent moment, Standish just looked at Cavil, until it began to dawn on him... the look of those old Centurions on the Earth ship, Cavil's welcoming Fox home, and the shared belief in one God...
"What the... are you telling me that he... that they're Cylons?" Standish asked.
"It certainly seems that way." Simon said, stepping forward, to address the group. "I just compared Fox's blood sample, with a sample of my own blood. It is the same." he added, as the other Skinjobs looked to Fox, with surprise, as Standish looked to Fox, with an angry look on his face, as suddenly, the Admiral drew his gun, and aimed it right at Fox's face.
Fox looked back to Standish with a look of shock.
"I am NOT a Cylon!" he protested. "The people who left Kobol were all human!" he stated.
"Then explain those blood results!" Standish shot back.
"He can't." Simon intejected. "But there's something else you should know." he added, as he leaned over to Cavil, and whispered something to him, as Cavil got up, and faced both men.
"Excuse us a moment." Cavil said, as Simon led him to a data table, with the other Skinjobs.
"We have a problem." Simon began, holding up the vial of blood for all to see. "These results should not be possible... like he said, the Thirteenth Tribe WAS entirely human, however, his blood is Cylon. And in a very specific way." he added, placing his hand into the water on the table, to call up the data, as all the Skinjobs absorbed it, and began to react...
"That's impossible!" one of the Sixes exclaimed, as her eyes opened, and she looked to the others.
"Agreed." one of the Eights added. "She's too far away for these results to be justified." the Eight stated.
"Nevertheless..." Simon began. "In order to confirm these results, we'll have to find her, and make a direct comparison... source from source. It appears we now both have a common goal." he said, looking to Cavil.
Cavil appeared to be thinking the prospect over in his mind, and finally nodded, deciding that Simon was right, and to give it a try, as he led the group in turning back to face Standish and Fox.
"Say, I hear you're looking for the Battlestar Galactica." Cavil called out. "Want some help?" he added, as Standish looked to him.
