nu-Spock was wearing the wrong shirt!

The concept of a "command" division in that sense is very TNG. Other than the Captain, on TOS no-one seemed to be a on a particularly 'command'-oriented track at all, gold shirts were almost a 'miscellaneous' colour. Spock and Scotty were both in immediate line for the big chair and wore blue and red respectively. Having someone who is just the first officer and decked out like a Wannabee Captain is a TNG thing.

Spock is also one of the only senior officers on the ship. Who would you give command to, some inexperienced cadet hotshot who thinks he's destined to be the Capt ... oh wait.

X

I don't think that's anyone's problem here. The issue is whether Spock was a science officer, since he didn't seem like he did anything a science officer would do.

I think he didn't appear to do much in the way of the Science Officer's role is because the mission didn't lend much to what he could do in that regard.

I'm thinking the next movie may show more of his science duties.

IT professionals should wear anime T-Shirts, and be confined to the lowest of the lower decks.

really..
well spock learned computer programing from his father.
;)

he also wanted to see the scans of vulcan.

he really didnt have a lot of time to act as science officer though he did confirming
theories put forth by other people.

Chicago was good....you know what even great...at one point in time.

Don't tell anyone else...but I love some of their stuff. Just not the NEWER shit.

Of course not their new shit...it was like a completely different band...Chicago from the 70's was damn good my brutha.

Even the 80s. "Hard Habit to Break"..."You're the Inspiration." Classics. Loved those as a kid and young adolescent. Love them now.
