The Turboencabulator is a ripoff. A Veeblefetzer will do everything a Turboencabulator does at half the cost, and never needs a lube or a tuneup.
 
It's scary that what he said could pass as and be published as an article in a reputable journal. The first link on the "technobabble" article on Wikipedia comes to mind.

The Turbowhatchamacallit is a joke and has never been taken as anything but a joke. It has nothing to do with the papers published by the Bogdanov brothers, whose work was in theoretical physics, not electrical or mechanical engineering.
