I once had a tube of biscuits explode while on top of the stove. I had the oven on to preheat it, and apparently the top of the range gets a bit toasty as well...

I came home one night last week and my kitchen counter was wet and had pop all over it.

Had to read that twice -- at first I thought you wrote it had poop all over it.

I lived in Oregon (and occasionally Washington) most of my life, and I never heard anybody call it "pop."
