November Art Challenge - "The Beauty of Trek"

Thanks, once again, for you votes in the last contest. So, here’s this months challenge.

In order to keep the contest open to as many different media as possible I’m going to keep this fairly simple. So, the topic this month is the “Beauty of Trek”.

Entries could be anything from a depiction of a beautiful friendship or relationship to a starship beauty shot. Or if you want to go for something a little different or abstract how about beauty from an individual’s perspective or that of an alien race. Perhaps a Klingon would see beauty in a blood soak battlefield or a finely honed bat’leth and Mr Scott might find beauty in his engineering blueprints…

From what i understand, you are specifically NOT thinking of things along the line of "Starfleet Magazine Swimsuit issue", but something EMOTIONAL rather than physical.

i think it's a great & original theme, if people have the right focus.

i don't want my wife to delete my TrekBBS access but she just happens to walk in as i look at the wrong submission...

Well, I want to keep the competition as open as possible so an entry depicting physical beauty (e.g. a montage of beautiful women from Star Trek) is acceptable so long as it stays within the board rules regarding adult content.

However, I do think it's more interesting and fun to see a different take on the idea of beauty, that's why I suggested an alien perspective.

"Starfleet Magazine Swimsuit Issue" - The more I think about it there could be some fun in this idea. How about a Horta as the cover girl?
