October's Challenge has been chosen, but that doesn't stop us thinking about possible themes for next month's challenge.

There are plenty of themes in the list but new ideas are always welcome. So, please, post your suggestions for your November Themes, in this thread.

I'm afraid the themes in The NEUTRAL ZONE have now been LOST IN THE DELTA QUANDRANT and therefore eliminated from the next vote, you can re-suggest those ideas in the future but please give it a few months before doing so. The rest of the themes will rollover to the next poll.

Also, please feel free to discuss, ask questions and suggest ideas for entries about any of the submitted themes. If we can get a conversation started about the challenge it'll help create some buzz. :)

The Current List of Themes:

Trek Craft Inspired by a Car Manufacturer
In Fantastic Four 2, they introduced the Fantasicar, which was "built" by Dodge, and even contained familiar Dodge traits, such as the front grill and logo. My suggestion would be to create a Star Trek craft belonging to a particular car maker (Dodge, Ford, Chevy, etc). The craft would need to contain visual traits that make it identifiable as a particular brand.

Toy Trek
We've seen Marauder Mo, we've seen Toby the Targ, we've seen Flotter...what other kinds of children's toys and characters might exist in the worlds of the Trek galaxy? The Federation's certainly full of room for creativity, but there's a whole galaxy out there, and you never get that sense more than when you're a kid...

Design Evolution
Show us your design evolution process (possibly just quick sketches) for something Star Trek, be it a ship, alien race or piece of equipment. (We've had something like this once before, but it could be worth revisiting)

Monstrous
As we approach Hallowe'en and (in the Northern hemisphere) the night grow darker, show us those Monstrous things that lie out there that frighten even the bravest space traveller.

Transporter Malfunctions
Duplicates, amalgamations and transmogrifications. Oh my!

Not Good Enough
Art inspired by unpopular episodes.

I Could Do Better
Don't like the latest redesign of the Enterprise? Fine. Show us what you would have done.

I Like the Old Stuff Better than the New Stuff
Art inspired by Star Trek programmes made in the 20th century.

[LOST IN THE DELTA QUADRANT]

Anything Star Trek
A Carte Blanche challenge, any Star Trek themed creation.

Fairy Tale Trek
I've seen pictures from one of the SNW episodes in which the crew seem to be acting out a fairy tale, so I thought a theme along those lines might be fun as well as topical.

Hats
We don't see many hats in the Trekiverse, so why not design some?

Hybrid Art
In light of DALL-E, IMAGEN and Mid Journey, you might want to have folks suggest hybrids from AI art…then flesh them out. For instance…one could suggest an Enterprise with Galactica surface detail..a Planet of The Titans Star Destroyer.

[LOST IN THE DELTA QUADRANT]

Looking forward to reading your ideas, get them in before ~15 October when voting will commence. And as always, have Fun! :bolian:

How about 'The Menagerie'? (or similar)

We hear about Berengarian dragons, and Andorian bulls, and Orion wing-slugs, and Terrelian seapods and the like, but didn't get to see them. What do they look like? How big are they? What kind of environment do they live in? Will they eat you?!?

November makes me think of my favorite holiday: Thanksgiving.

However, I don't think many of our European friends celebrate Thanksgiving, so maybe the theme could be a generic Autumn Festival / Harvest Festival. Oh, wait ... don't want to exclude those living Down Under, where it's Spring time.
