With the timeline of the novelverse being reset, this means that, if Kirsten Beyer so chooses, she can slaughter Christie Golden's OCs all over again! Hopefully intercut with scenes of Miral Paris's Klingon baptism.

Joking aside, the timeline reset means that any one of the novelverse characters killed off before is potentially resurrected. Dr. Jarem Kaz, Akolo Tare, Afsarah Eden, etc. This thread is for speculating on where such characters might end up in the new timeline.

Be careful to keep it vague, as "story ideas" aren't allowed in the Literature forum for legal reasons, as I understand.

Afsarah Eden could have a run-in with the Protostar, while searching for her origins in the Delta Quadrant.

Thirishar ch'Thane,
AKA the Andorian kid with the dreadlocks from the DS9 books, should also come back. I don't know or care what he'd do, but with all the new references to Andoria in onscreen canon, I feel he should show up.

Dr
. Jarem Kaz is another character I liked. I feel like there's plenty that could be done with his character in the new timeline. They could even switch up details about his joining, depending on how far back the time divergence occurred.

Lyssa Campbell should definitely die again. Killing her off almost feels like a tradition now, with Beyer and at least one AU story doing so. "Picard" has certainly provided some significant events with high fatality rates.

Poor Akolo Tare was hopefully not violated by a hologram in this timeline. But she could easily have AI prejudices from other experiences in the "Picard" timeline. Or maybe she's just piloting one of the ships in Riker fleet, happy as a tribble.

Aytar Gwyn is another favorite of mine. I wonder what this rebellious Ensign might say about the Mars massacre or Starfleet's policies regarding Romulus that might land her a write-up. As an empathy, either incident might be rough on her if she was in close proximity to the deaths. It might also be a cute joke for her hair to be a different color in the new timeline, though blue seemed perfect.

Other ideas?

Those sound like story ideas already. :)

I liked Lyssa Campbell. I imagined Ellen "Dr Meredith Grey" Pompeo in that role.
Captain Afsarah Eden might not exist, given how she was unique in the multiverse.
I always wondered, is Akolo Tare's last pronunced to rhyme with 'care', or as two syllables, 'Tah-RAY'?

The post about story ideas seemed to indicate that a "story idea" here means, a detailed description of a specific plotline. I tried to keep these to vague prompts. I may be wrong though.

I hope Eden still exists! As for Tare, I always assumed her name was pronounced like "care." I feel if it were thr second option, there would be an accent over the "e," or an apostrophe somewhere. Unless it's a common Polynesian name in real life, and that's how it's spelled and pronounced.

While generally I think you've been pretty good about being vague, I sort of feel that the entries for Kaz and Campbell both cross the line into actual plot points, and should probably be edited to remove the specific suggestions.

The other thing that's been bothering me about this thread is... I thought I had already read it. But it was just posted today, and I looked though the forum for a thread with the same topic, and didn't find one.

Must have been from another timeline.

Sometimes I repeat myself. I've probably shared these thoughts in other threads. I know I've shared the joke about the Klingon Godfather-baptism for killing Chtistie Golden's characters.

Anyway, I've edited the Kaz and Campbell entries. Though, it would be pretty amusing if I listed a bunch of ways to kill Campbell, and then authors took it as a challenge to kill her in an even more unpredictable way.

Joking aside, I'll try to keep things more vague when posting on this forum.
