nother "what the JJPrise could have been" thread...

I do wonder why people keep calling it the JJPrise. Shouldn't it be the ChurchPrise or the EnterChurch or something? That's like calling the TMP Enterprise the WisePrise or something.

JJ's an easy hate icon ;)

Though theres only one thing I'm not keen on with the new Enterprise, it really stands out as being a fresh perspective. Some of the fan art has been good, the new ship just feels like the right move and has a good combo of old and new.

Though despite my enthusiasm... that one thing will keep bugging me ;)

With all the Enterprise variations out there, it's the easiest way to identify the new Big E. You say JJPrise and everyone knows exactly what you're talking about.

nice work! :D

It's short, easy to remember, and most here or in places like this will know what's being referred to. Accuracy is often not the primary factor involved in how things acquire the nicknames they do.

I like this model, (roliba's) though. I think it looks nice. :techman:

Thanks to all to who've responded, both positive and negative. I did this mesh for personal reasons and not to be a better or even replacement to the JJprise. There had been a glut of "new" designs on my usual hang-out so I felt inspired to make my own.

Thanks again for the feed-back.

Don't know what there will be for updates as this is a "free" time mesh, and free time right now is minimal. :D

Very, very nice work, roliba. Some of the detail design, the bussards, the conduits running into the nacelles, are just great. I do hope you find more time to work on this, and, post updates. :)

I love this ship! It's exciting!

Only thing I would change is the shuttle bay doors. It doesn't look like there are any :)

It's not as bad as the JJ-Prise. At least this one has more colors, and is proportioned better.

Duuuuuuuuude that's a serious necro man! And then still, MKF's Connie is from after Star Trek XI, so that's not a fair game.
