Here is the official thread for this mesh that won't take over Madman1701A's thread.

Hey! GothTrek (love the name by the way:techman:) Can you give us some side up down & front back views? And I love your Big E I just wish the JJPrise at least had that secundary hull.

Generally I like the subtle, more purposeful detail, and that none of it tries to twist your eyeballs out of the sockets. This is a far better design than the JJprise. The engineering hull looks like it belongs on the design, and not as an exaggerated pontoon to hold the pylons in place. I think the B/C deck and the bridge module should be a little larger/distinctive; the structure almost appears to be melting into the saucer.

If you could replace the neck with smilier to Ambassador class thicker neck. It would be great design. As it stand the neck is too weak and fragile as TOS Enterprise & TMP Enterprise.

I'm one of the few fans of the new Enterprise, but I quite like this one. Is that windows in the detail at the front of the first couple of decks?

I cannot take credit for this mesh as I stated before in the intial post, It belongs to Roland (Roliba) Baron. He should be posting here soon.

It's nicely modeled, and I like it. It's not nearly so satisfactory or attractive a design as Ryan Church's Enterprise for the new film, though.

^^ Impossible since Dennis's ship is a beaut and actually looks quite a lot like the 1701, now now, we wouldn't want that in JJ movie now won't we? :p

I don't feel the love with Church's ship that I did Probert/Taylors TMP Enterprise...

That design, I loved immediately.

This one...I'm gonna have to see it in action in the context of the movie.

It's not "love at first sight" with this one though.

Thanks to all to who've responded, both positive and negative. I did this mesh for personal reasons and not to be a better or even replacement to the JJprise. There had been a glut of "new" designs on my usual hang-out so I felt inspired to make my own.

Thanks again for the feed-back.

Don't know what there will be for updates as this is a "free" time mesh, and free time right now is minimal. :D

Here's what I think the JJ Prise should have been.

More or less a Phase II design with a nav-deflector more like the TMP-design, with no visible grille on the outer nacelle-side, same low-surface detail, scaled to 1,080 feet externally.

Then re-did the inside a bit. Upgraded some of the displays and chairs. But I would NOT have made a Galaxy-Quest ship out of it...

Who'd pay to see it?

Roliba - credit where credit is due, it really is a nice take and prefer this over the JJprise (which I feel like taking a wrench to my eyes to unscrew them every time I see it).

Starship Polaris - going to pay to see the movie, but wouldn't pay a penny to see the JJprise design anywhere.

I do wonder why people keep calling it the JJPrise. Shouldn't it be the ChurchPrise or the EnterChurch or something? That's like calling the TMP Enterprise the WisePrise or something.
