Not sure if this belongs here...question about Sisko's return

I've heard that in the DS9 novels, Ben returns from being with the wormhole aliens.

Is this a permanent return, and is he really flesh and blood, or is he only "visiting" or in some type of phantom form?

Also, is Kira now in Starfleet? I thought she went back to the Bajoran Militia at the end of WYLB. Did she join Starfleet again, this time for good, in the novels?

In the novels, Bajor has joined the Federation, so the Bajoran Militia has become part of Starfleet. I think Kira's equivalent rank is Captain.

Sisko's return seems permanent. He's living in the house he designed with Kassidy and their daughter.
