Nominate your choice(s) for Doctor #12

I always thought Arnold Vosloo, John D'lance, or that guy who played Xur in "The Last Star Fighter" would have made a good doc.

Might sound odd, but that's just me.

How come no one ever expresses a desire for a Pakistani Doctor Who? I suppose it's like no one here ever asks for a Latino Superman even though a black superman comes up all the time.

female and American -- Anne Dudek from House a few years back.

The lady who played Dr. Amber "Cut Throat Bitch" Volakis, now that's a pretty good, yet left field choice, but if who ever picks Doctor number twelve wants a blonde, I'd prefer it was Lisa Faulkner.

I'm still waiting for Patricia Routledge as the Doctor. :D

With Zoe Wanamaker as The Master. :bolian:

Well plenty of people have suggested Alexander Siddig who's of Arabic descent

Jimi Mistry might make a good Doctor. Ditto Chris Bisson, who used to be in Coronation Street, then was in Shameless.

Even though he's already been in DW, I still reckon Anthony Stewart Head would make a good Doctor. I also think Liam Neeson or Sam Neill might be able to carry it off.

Well, she'd have plenty of room for a suana, swimming pool and DEFFINATELY room for a pony. Just don't wreck the royal dulton with the hand-painted parrywinkles. :rommie:

Personally, I'd think Alyson Hannigan, Bif Naked or YouTube's Kandee Johonson would make excellent female Doctors. :bolian:

I'd pick Christopher Eccleston.

What? There's nothing that says that a Time Lord can't regenerate into their previous regenerations, right? ;)

Barring that, I tend to think that the Doctor should be played by someone who's not a "name" actor. Preferably someone who's known, but not known. So, no Alan Rickmans or Bill Nighys or Hugh Lauries or Ricky Gervantises or Eddie Izzards for me.

^ Actually, I think there is a rule that a Doctor can't regenerate back. Though apparently they did toy with the idea of getting Patrick Troughton to play the Seventh Doctor for a short time.

And does anyone seriously think that Liam Neeson would do Dr Who?!

^ Yeah but they're movies. Not weekly tv shows. Shorter commitments and bigger money. Plus he lives in New York, which is home to his 2 children, now sadly mother-less. Can't see him upping sticks to Cardiff for the sort of money Matt Smith's taking home (though I would ...).
