Agreed, although there is no way in hell they could do it justice in just one movie. Personally, I think something this big should be a 6 part miniseries.

I've never understood why Star Trek never pursued the idea of mini-series of TV movies. It's such a no brainer I almost can't believe it's never happened.

Well, there are the two hour episodes that they did for the different shows over the years. IMO most of those could easily be considered TV movies.
