forget the ... Coup, without Rom the Occupation of Bajor never ends. everyone knows that Quark would have been more successful with more attention from moogie. and thus wouldn't have run a bar on some po-dunk station in the middle of no-where. and no quarks, means the rebellion loses a big ally (for a price). no rom means no Minefield to keep the dominion out. no rom also would change first contact with the dominion, as that was done during a camping trip involving nog and quark.

note: expletive censored.
