No "He's dead, Jim"?

Bad Atom

Commodore
Commodore
My little brother pointed this out to me after our third viewing. Out of all the McCoy-isms they put in this movie, he never says "He's dead, Jim"???

I don't care if McCoy says it to himself for no reason whatsoever - I demand they work it into the sequel!

 There wasnt a need for it, unless he utters the line, albeit cheesily, after they watch the narada explode in the singularity.

Then they all stand around the captains chair and have a little giggle. :techman:

I think, with the regular crowd, they'd equate it with "Oh no! They killed kenny! You bastards!" and think it was a ripoff :D

I'd rather they not fall back on the cliches too much. As it was, Spock was a little too fond of the word "logical". In some respects, the character dialog felt a bit like it was from third season episodes; relying too much on caricaturization. We don't have to rely on condensing every amusing Spock or McCoy comment into one movie for us to have convincing dialog, you know. Better still, let's have something original come out of McCoy's mouth!

No Vulcan nerve pinch either.

Yes there was. Spock pinched Kirk to get him off the bridge, off the ship, and onto Delta Vega.

Instead of typing whats been typed by three posters in five minutes, yeah. :)

I did think it was hilarious that he called Spock a hobgoblin.

I liked that too, along with all the other McCoyisms, that was the most TOS centric one there.

"Good God, Man"
and...
"Damnit, Jim. Im a doctor, not a physicist."
Are my two main faves in this script.
