First rule of conspiracies: Logic is punted from the backseat and out of the car entirely. So, the current conspiracy theory amongst the rabid haters is that the switch to New Years Day and the use of a Dalek in the New Year's Special is just because of the "appalling" fan reaction and the "disastrous" ratings. Which even if the fan reaction and ratings debacle was as true as they claim, would have had no effect on a BBC Xmas schedule that would have probably been finalised in the autumn, and that the script and filming was complete months ago.

Apart form those that do, nor am I suggesting that I know how it all works. But I know a couple people who do and they're not fond of the scribble that's been filmed this year. The haters have zero idea how TV production works.
But they know best because they care!
A lot of them don't or no longer do. Isn't that more worrying? Or a bigger relief? That depends.
Didn't Rian Johnson say something like that after Star Wars the Last Jedi??I’m not worried about losing fans who didn’t like the last series and compared it to “being raped.” I’m not worried about losing fans who didn’t like it because the Doctor is now played by a woman.
Good riddance to rubbish people.
Didn't Rian Johnson say something like that after Star Wars the Last Jedi??
Ouch..too harsh..and snarky. You mean the movie that made like a billion dollars even while million man babies cried out?
I’m on Rian’s side.
Why would you want to be on the side of someone who compares a show they don’t like to “being raped”? Is that a hill you want to die on?
*looks to see who I’m replying to”
Right, of course you do.
Ouch..too harsh..and snarky.
Never said the show was something I didn't like. I love Doctor Who, just not a fan of this season. Doesn't make me a cry baby. I never said it raped anything either.
How is the new series doing? Are the ratings good or bad? Is it in a good state to continue? So, the current conspiracy theory amongst the rabid haters is that the switch to New Years Day and the use of a Dalek in the New Year's Special is just because of the "appalling" fan reaction and the "disastrous" ratings. Ratings are up from last series, Jodie is already coming back for another series. It's a failure in the minds of the delusional though, but given that the show is made in reality that doesn't count. How is the new series doing? Are the ratings good or bad? Is it in a good state to continue?
Told you it was a respray not a redesign.
Now, that's literally behind the scenes!
I like
Well, my apparent narcasism aside, that's just hyperbolic on Levine's part. When you use the "it raped my childhood" comment, then you've lost the argument. I totally agree. Not every post is about you.
I was referring to “super” fan Ian Levine, who DID compare it to rape.

I suppose not. I mean, who really believes that anyhow?? so childish a statement to say. If Levine said the new series raped his childhood, then that's a tad over the sanity edge in my book.Really, you mean his childhood wasn’t literally raped by a TV show!?
Huh.
