Nintendo NX / Switch Discussion

So... no Virtual Console for the Switch? That is a shame, it was what I was looking forward to.
I've seen some retro games on the Switch. Unfortunately it seems as if Nintendo has decided not to put a separate category for retro games on the Switch's e-shop.

Although, for whatever reason, the most recent update for the Switch allows it to "see and run" the Gamecube controller device from the WiiU if you plug it in.

Nintendo does Nintendo. It's amusing that Microsoft and Sony are obsessing over 4K and VR while Nintendo is going to make a killing with fucking cardboard. My 8 year old self would have loved this.

Here's the (much, much shorter) announcement video from Nintendo.

I love the Switch. Zelda was great, Bayonetta is better than ever (as is 2) and I simply cannot wait for Death Road to Canada to release so I can play it with everyone I know anywhere, for the first time ever. That game is seriously made for the Switch.

My biggest wish is for either GTA V or the new Berserk game to head over there. (So many other Musou games, why not Berserk? Free it from Sony's kidnapping). GTA V was also developed for the PS3 and it runs fine on it. I'm sure the Switch could do it.

The only thing I dislike about it is the lack of variation in regard to 'dockable' shells that you don't have to remove each time.

I've got Pokken DX for my sons birthday next week. Though no one in the house has touched the Switch in at least a month.

I finally got myself a Switch along with Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Doom. I love them all. This is a great little console that packs a punch. I can't wait for E3 this year.

Just ordered my Switch with South Park: The Fractured But Whole and already have a 64gb memory card too boost my storage too.

Finally got to try out a Switch recently. Tried to play some Super Mario Odyssey. Liked the full controller charging grip as it made the joycons into one solid controller. Much easier to use and I can concentrate on playing a game instead of focusing on the joycons.

Nintendo has a Direct this morning at 10am EST for Smash Bros. They announced a crapton of stages, music tracks, game modes, and, of course, a few new characters.
