Nimoy takes a bow... his last bow

I'm so glad I got the chance to see him in Vegas. His presentation was so emotional, and Mr. Nimoy himself got teary-eyed at the end. It was a true honour to see him and I wish him all the best in his retirement!

I wish I could've gotten a chance to meet him, just to shake hands briefly or something.

I have a lot of respect and admiration for Mr. Nimoy and I would have loved to see him in person some day. Having had the opportunity to meet other great actors that I've come to love due to their roles in Star Trek, I realize now more than before how great that would have been.

However, Mr. Nimoy's decision is more than understandable and we can only feel privileged that he's been an active and essential part of the Trek phenomenon for so long. I wish him nothing but the best and I feel grateful that I got to share in his art.

Thank you for bringing much-needed beauty into the world, Mr. Nimoy! And remember that we love you as well as Spock.:bolian:

LOL, when an actor does something like this, it's always like they're preparing for death or something.

I'm glad I saw him at convention once. I can't believe that was about 15 years ago.

While I was driving to work today, a radio host said something like, "Sad news for Star Trek fans. Leonard Nimoy..."

"Oh, no," I thought. I gasped and my heart raced because I expected to hear the worst! But then the host continued with: "...is retiring from doing conventions..."

Then I was like, oh...GOOD. I'd much rather hear that Nimoy's retired and not dead! I was so relieved.

I was fortunate enough to see him and get his autograph at an LV con last year. He was really nice to fans during his Q&A session.

Live long and prosper, dear Leonard. I hope he enjoys his well-earned retirement. :bolian:

^ He's still living! And prospering... at least financially. I hope his health continues to hold up until he's ready to go.

I would have had the same thought..when they start like that..
I know you saw him! Saw the pics ;)
Peace and long life, Spock

I think we were lucky he did conventions this long. I would not be surprised, however, if he is still in good health, that he makes a brief appearance at the Vegas convention in 2016.

Wow. I saw him at a convention just after the release of STVI. Twenty years ago, now...

Indeed, Mr. Nimoy, Live long and prosper.

Saw him waaaaay back in 1973 at a Birmingham (AL) car show of all places. Got his autograph...and promptly lost the #$%^ thing right there at the convention center!!! I wonder if anybody found it, realized what it was and kept it as his/her own?

Sincerely,

Bill

Saw him once at a signing of I Am Spock. He's a legend, one of life's true originals and something of a polymath.

I'm sorry I never got to see Mr. Nimoy at a convetion My friends who ahve seen at different conventions talked what a nice man he is and were so glad they got to see him in Las vegas last year ago.

I am so glad I got to see him at a couple of conventions. He is a lovely man and I wish him a good health and a happy retirement.
