NHL 2010/2011 season....

Based on the severity of the injury, the NHL has decided to suspend Boychuk (just like in the Rome/Horton case). Boychuk isn't allowed to have ice cream with the team after practice today.

:wah: My little adventure in downtown Vancouver was depressing as Hell. Never seen the life sucked out of a place so quickly.

Turns out he was lucky. Burrows snuck in and started biting the fingers of anybody who dripped melted ice cream on their hand.

 I don't get at all why people are still talking about this. I'm about the most passive, non-confrontational person on the planet, but if you stick your finger in my mouth, I'm gonna f*cking bite down on it too.

This article sums up pretty well the frustrations I have with the shitty media coverage the Canucks have been getting, even from Canadian media outlets.

I know, right? Totally unfair that people bring up your own dirty laundry when you complain about them, right? I suppose if you want to complain about something someone is doing, it shouldn't be SO easy to come up with examples of you acting the same way. Gotta either accept that you'll get criticized, or not complain about something you're also guilty of in the first place. Obvious dirty play, guy should have been suspended a game most likely, and NHL didn't do anything about it. Same guy then goes on to have a big part in determining the outcome of the next game, so of course it's going to be brought up. The Canucks didn't help themselves either, repeatedly bringing it up while taunting Bruins players, introducing that guy as a Vegetarian during the lineups the next game, etc. Can't keep bringing it up AND hoping it quietly goes away...

Of course, had he not done that, or maybe if he'd just been suspended like he should have (lack of evidence? lol), the Canucks would be having a parade right now. Between that and the Horton hit, it gave the Bruins the kick in the ass they apparently needed to make it a series.

And not that that article didn't have it's own fun little bias. Entertaining that any post that disagreed with the Go-Canucks-Go flavor of the article was flagged for low rating, but there's a post below each of them calling the flagged poster a moron! Complaining about bias while showing a huge bias is kinda the same problem as above. Entertaining that the players are indulging in this too, though. Keep getting a huge kick out of the Luongo comments basically upset that Thomas wasn't saying enough nice things about him! Come on, dude, sack up!

This has been the most exciting Stanley Cup finals in a long time--certainly since 2004.

At the risk of being a homer I'd say 2009 was more exiting. This final has been fun, but three blowouts lessens the excitement to an extent.

Because it's funny and weird. Most people's reaction would be to pull their head back and to try to get the finger out of their mouth, not to snap into it like a Slim Jim.

I think the way I would describe this final is just plain weird. Vancouver just not showing up on the Road, but Boston keeping it close when they were on the road. That's why I'm hoping tonight will be a classic game. Vancouver is good at home, but Boston has held it's own in Vancouver and could have easily won one of those three games. Hopefully they break through tonight and the road team finally wins in this series.

Here we go. I'm obviously hoping Vancouver wins, but I honestly won't be that upset if Boston does. I may not like them much, but they've been the better team this series and deserve it more.

If the Canucks do pull it out tonight, I hope they truly earn it and it's not just on a lucky break.

I hope this game goes double+ Overtime. adds to the drama that way. ;)

Good to see Raymond there and looking in decent spirits, despite the giant back brace.

2-0 for Bruins in the 2nd. Vancouver can't fuckin' score. They're done.

And the Sedins aren't worth shit.
