I am no Cutler fan, nor Bears fan for that matter, but Jesus Jumped-Up Christ is Cutler getting a bad deal.

How can anyone question this guy's toughness? You can question his decision-making, sure. But this guy is a Serious MoFo. He works his ass off. If you can't see that, you're not really a football fan.

PS: I have had a torn MCL, and I could stand perfectly fine without pain. The problem was when I moved my knee felt like it was held together by strawberry jam. I was able to avoid surgery but had a brace and crutches for many weeks. Standing on the sidelines would have been easy for me, and I'm not a professional athlete.

I dont claim any special insight, but I do watch a lot of football. There is no fucking way Cutler would have pulled himself out of a 14 point game for a chance at the Super Bowl unless he had no choice. I just flat out don't believe it.

Denver fans are chiming in that they're glad they're rid of "that pussy/wimp" and "don't you remember when Rivers was making fun of him from the San Diego sidline" and yada yada yada....? I had no idea Cutler was so disrespected. I mean, Rodgers is the one that looks like the classic nerd from "The Big Bang Theory." Seriously, can no one see it but me? Another happy Pittsburgher chiming in stating that it was one heck of a game. yeah, we owned the first half, but we also let NY back in the game. We can't do that against GB in Dallas. Tomlin will coach them to remember that the game is 60 minutes, not 30. We do that, and we'll be OK.

I had no idea that Cutler was such a lightning rod for Chicago fans. I assumed they were so happy to get of the alternatives that they were happy to have him.

It's a good thing I no longer have a bookie- I would have been wrong on both games. For just the second time in 23 years, I didn't make plans to go to Vegas for the Super Bowl (new puppy and all). Now that the Packers are in, it's killing me to think about staying here for the game.

Wow. On "Up all Night with Jason Smith," the very first caller he took regarding NFL football was some uniformed, irate Bears fan tearing Cutler a new one and praising the third string QB.

A couple calls later, a Bears fan supported Cutler and ripped Martz.

Then another Bears fan said he was so upset at the game he threw his remote at his TV and broke the TV! He's also under the belief that Cutler let the city down and the only way he can be forgiven is if his injury is so severe that he can't do anything for six months.

Are Bears fans really this psychotic and idiotic?

Holy crap, Bears fans (not including Timby). You've got your first legitimate quarterback in--what, decades?--and you're throwing him under the bus like that? I'd like to see these ingrates try to play one of the most physically punishing sports with possibly two torn knee ligaments. The poor guy wanted to keep playing, but he was (wisely) pulled out by Lovie Smith and the trainers.

A lot of people haven't forgiven him for his first year with the Bears and his name being practically a synonym for "interception". These people refuse to see that there's no QB past or present who could've played significantly better with the Bears' swiss cheese offensive line and HORRIBLE offensive coordinator. The Bears put some bandaids on those things this year but that still didn't make them a TRULY good team, an assertion I've made all season long. They could have EASILY been 7-9 instead of 11-5.

Cutler makes some bad decisions, but it's not even close to being all on him like the armchair people retards on sports message boards think.

Aaron Rodgers does not look like Wolowitz at all. From certain angles he kind of looks like Ryan the Temp, but that doesn't really survive much scrutiny either.

As for Jay Cutler... yeah it looked awkward him just standing there on the sideline... but I have a hard time believing that his injury isn't legit. Burning his jersey and basically trying to run him out of town is horribly misguided.

I remember thinking, God, I hope Cutler's knee is pretty messed up, or he may not escape Chicago alive, and then realizing that wishing a serious injury on someone wasn't exactly charitable.

I guess I just hope it's serious enough to mollify Bears' fans, yet something from which he can recover fully before next season begins.

Or something like that.
