Well, in the end, the Chiefs managed to pull it off but it was a bit too close for comfort there for most of the game. But, again, Jacksonville's lack of a Quarterback should've meant that the game should have been far easier. The Chief's seemed to have a really good game with long passes and Jacksonville had no passing game at all.

We maintain our first-place position in our division. Man, I hope to at least see a playoff game this year.

The first half was really scary, I think perhaps the game that got away in Houston may have still been messing with their heads a little because D looked pretty bad. And frankly the QB who "was on a tractor on Tuesday" as the announcers kept reminding us, outplayed the veteran Cassel during that first half. Fortunately Cassel and the defense both stepped it up in the second half. It was almost like that final standing, holding the Jags to a FG at the end of the first half, kind of snapped them out of it.

I'm happy for the win, but Cassel is still a liability that's ultimately going to cost us.

My thought is, if he takes a game off, the league will be much more likely to suspend him for his other actions. 291 is a damn good streak, I'd have to say.

Yeah, if it's determined that he has to take time off, the league will almost certainly arrange a suspension to coincide with his injury status. Of course, if he does sit, I fully expect Caste Football to raise holy hell.

Much better for posterity that the streak ends with trying to play through an injury than the shame of being caught as a sexually-harassing tool, eh?

Cassel had some nice, long, Hail Mary passes there but, god, that first quarter or so was awful and I'm not sure if it was him, other players or what but they made Jacksonville's QB look like John Fucking Elway. The game should not have been as close as a freaking field goal go into the half.

Criminy cripes, the Cowboys can't win for losing. Now Romo's out for 6 weeks. At least Dez Bryant is still looking promising. A damn sight more promising than Roy Williams. He looked nice running that punt back for a touchdown. :)

If Wade Phillips and crew hadn't been moronic earlier and kicked a field goal on fourth down Dallas would be down only one score instead of 10 points. :scream:

Cassel had some nice, long, Hail Mary passes there . . .

I remember one long pass to Bowe and that was about it. The second TD pass to Bowe was god awful but somehow Bowe made a ridiculous "circus catch" to bring it in for a TD. He was wide open in the end zone and there was no reason to throw a ball that was nearly uncatchable.

Also, perhaps on the same drive, Terrance Copper had to go up into the stratosphere to snag a pass to bail out Cassel on a 3rd down play.

Yeah folks I don't like Cassel, he's getting some wins, but he's still way too inconsistent and erratic for the Chiefs to truly be serious contenders.

Oh, I agree with that. Cassel too inconsistent, too risky and many times his accuracy leaves a lot to be desired but he's had some plays over the last couple games that have impressed me but it could be he's just been very lucky because if the plays resulted in different outcomes... Well, I wouldn't be so much on his bus. ;)
