Did I post that Vick is the QB for the Eagles for the season?

^I can certainly understand the Eagles wanting to put the best QB out on the field.... but Kolb wasn't even given a chance. He's played for a whopping 2 quarters. And he may have not done well, but it was the first 2 quarters of the season... a lot of QB's don't start off barrelling out of the gate.
Honestly, if they had no faith in Kolb, they shouldn't have traded McNabb. Between Vick and McNabb, McNabb gives a better chance of winning now. If we're trying to rebuild, Kolb should be starting, since Vick is clearly not the QB of the future. If Kolb isn't the QB of the future, there are even more problems to address, but we should perhaps be considering drafting a QB (which means we need a good draft pick). It just seems everything they're doing now contradicts what it seemed they wanted to do this off season.
They never should have gotten rid of McNabb. That's the number one problem. Aside from Vick being a psychopathic slime (I know, I know, he's "reformed" and the public service he does for animal groups has absolutely nothing to do with it being required in his contract so he can play football again 
)and a public relations nightmare, he really isn't the long term answer. He can play keep away better because the offensive line isn't up to snuff. That's not a proper basis for a long term qb decision. I heard on the local sports radio yesterday that several teams have contacted the Eagles interested in seeing if they'd be willing to trade Kolb to them.
The Eagles organization deserves whatever misfortune comes its way. The fans rooting for Vick deserve a kick in the ass, too.

You know, I find all of the Vick hate still going around to be quite amusing. We have athletes who have raped, killed, or harmed in some capacity another person and by and large, no one cares. But Vick takes some dogs and engages in an activity that is considered a sport in some places, and 4 years later he is still the second most hated man in sports! And the only person in front of him is hated because he's an attention whore!
Did Vick screw up? Absolutely. Is he the worst of the bunch, as far as athletes go? Definitely not. But no one cares about the other guys.

I don't know about that, Ben Rothelsburger comes to mind.
I personally am not going to specifically hold the dog thing against Vick. What he did was disgusting, immoral, and illegal. However, in his defense, he has done all the right moves since coming back to atone for what he did. There's not much we can really ask of him besides "don't play football" and I don't see the point of prohibiting someone from employment to punish them for something the law already punished them for. I do, however, feel that Vick is an average QB at best when it comes to arm strength and decision-making and that alone should be reasons why he's not a long term solution at Quarterback.

Ben wasn't tried or convicted of anything. He spent time in jail for something heinous and I don't think he's entitled to millions of dollars a year still.
He wasn't tried and convicted because there was enough evidence to support a criminal conviction. That doesn't mean he did or didn't do what was alleged. He was suspended by the NFL for his actions, so they don't believe he was entirely innocent. Judging my the circumstances of the case, there's more than one suspicious thing going on. I don't see the logic that someone who has actually served jail time is more deserving of on-going punishment than someone who got off scott-free.
And money is never paid out based on how nice someone is. It's based on how profitable you are to someone else and how much it'll take to keep you being that profitable. In this case, he's highly profitable to the Eagles since they make a lot of money and apparently don't have anyone to replace him. He was far less profitable last year, but probably more than paid for his salary.

There's plenty of vitriol for the other guys, especially Big Rapist Ben. You haven't been paying close attention. Unfortunately he wasn't charged thanks to his good ole boy buddies in the police department down there, so he can't be removed. Ben's merely out of the news at the moment. Plenty of people can't stand him, myself included.
Part of the reason for this decision has to be the porous Eagle offensive line. This was mentioned on I think... Mike & Mike, and it makes a certain amount of sense. Put a green (no pun intended) Kolb behind that line, and he has almost no chance to learn and grow. Then again... a weak OL is a problem that every quarterback will have to deal with at some point in his career.

Never say never. Big Ben won't be able to keep his nose clean, or his pants zipped is my guess. The sad truth is that animal cruelty is easier to prove than rape.
I'm sorry, I just dislike Vick. I used to be a Falcons fan, simply because I live near Atlanta, but I hated him so much from day one. He was a ball hog, arrogant in interviews, etc.

It is according to that dick columnist from the Trentonian, this rag up in New Jersey. Americans value their pets more than black males was his hook. He was serious. Hell, I know that if Peyton Manning had put jumper cables on a dog's ears and watched him fry I'd be A-okay with it because Peyton's white.

Vick acting like his prison term was simply one of life's obstacles you have to overcome by picking yourself up by the bootstraps was just eye-rolling and head-shaking. You weren't coming back from a career-threatening injury or some life-threatening disease. You went to prison for a crime you committed!
