OMFG

wowowowowowowoowow

Did you see the swagger of #10 before the punt? Unbelievable. And then the drop. And then the run through the hole. And then this run along the goal line.

I'm fucking stunned.

That punt return was just a thing of beauty, unbelievable. It was literally like the punt returner announced it that he was going to make the touchdown. He kept gesturing "bring it on" while there was some delay, then dropped the ball after catching it, picked it up again, ran right straight through the lines up the whole fucking way up the field before making a sharp turn at the goal line and crossing over to the other side just to mock the Giants. That'll make all kinds of highlight reels, guaranteed.

Wow, that was a FUCKING EPIC choke on the Giants part.

The announcers were talking about how the Giants' punter wasn't very good and shouldn't kick it to Jackson so what does he do? Kick it directly to Jackson who bobbles it but fails to get taken down by the Giants' defense.

Again, wow.

Shows how much attention I pay to the AFC...

At least the Rams will know where to hit Cassel.

Be careful what you wish for.

How's that working out for you? :p

Not as well as I had hoped.

Well to be honest with you, during the first quarter I thought we were looking for the 3rd straight crappy performance by the Chiefs but they came through when they had to. They've pretty much owned the NFC West this year.

Cassel has earned my respect. It wasn't a long ago I was calling for his head, but I've done a 180 on him. No so much for his play today, but just his overall toughness today just a little over a week after an apendectomy.

Terrific performance by Mike Vick and the Eagles. Congrats on a nice win.

Watching Vick play is similar to watching Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan or the old Tiger Woods, as he is one of those athletes who can actually make something out of nothing. This is a quality that sometimes even eludes some of the all time greats in any sport.

BTW, wonder where some of those folks are who posted here a few years ago that Vick would never again play in the league? Oh, heh heh, right here in this thread. :p

After having our first three possessions in Chiefs territory and coming away with 6 points, I knew we were in trouble. The offense looked terrible (how the fuck do you get 4 false start penalties at home?).

Cassel did not have what you'd consider a "great" game, but I agree. That was a gutsy performance, especially some of those scrambles (I guarantee the Rams defense did not practice for that!).

A very disappointing loss, but the Rams really haven't beaten a good team this year. They've benefited from a last place schedule and that's about it. There's been serious improvement, no question. But they still have a ways to go.

Congrats.

Over/under on at least one Viking or Bears player getting knocked out for the rest of the season (or longer) on Monday night?

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/12/vikings-kluwe-tcf-stadium-field-unplayable.html

The Minnesota Vikings got the first look at TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday when they held a walk-through at the stadium on the University of Minnesota campus.

Vikings punter Chris Kluwe, who was critical of the decision to play there during the week, called the field "unplayable" on his Twitter account. At this point, however, it's unknown what, if anything can be done about the situation. Kluwe added that he has been muzzled, asked not to talk about the field on his Twitter account that has the handle chriswarcraft.

Kluwe's Twitter posts in that thread are an interesting read. I hope he's wrong about the field freezing once it's been uncovered for the game. Hopefully no one gets seriously injured due to the NFL and the Vikings having their heads up their asses and the game not being moved to a neutral location.

Well it almost qualified as home game for the Chiefs with the number of Chiefs fans there. At the 2 minute warning, you could clearly hear the Arrowhead War Chant going on there.

You've pretty much described the Chiefs season as well. I still think they're gonna drop one thus giving the division to SD, and I'm not going to be that upset since I believe SD is the best team in the AFC West, despite what the records say.

Dan Carpenter misses 4 FG's (all at least 48 yards)and Ronnie Brown/Ricky Williams manage 58 rushing yards in a 17-14 loss. This drops Miami to 7-7 (1-6 home, 6-1 road) and eliminates them from the playoffs.

Probably the most frustrating season in my 30 years as a Dolphins fan. :(

I'm pretty impressed with Tebow. He showed a lot of stuff that has me hopeful for his future with Denver. The play-calling was pretty jacked up though. They obviously didn't trust him to throw a lot, hence the never ending stream of hand-offs and QB keeps. However, on the rare occassion Tebow was allowed to pass, they were almost all shots down field! It seems counter-intuitive to me. And, I feel like that strategy gave them no shot to win. When you're facing a lot of third downs, it would seem to me that you would like to occassionally just make a shot at the sticks rather than 30 yards down field.
