The Cardinals, it seems, have a big-play defense—whether giving them up or creating them. They looked like crap in the second half, for the most part ... but began and ended the game with critical turnovers. Looks like they miss a lot of tackles going for the monster hit and/or game-changing play. I've also never seen a great team that allows receivers to weave through their secondary after a catch the way this one does.
Time was, I would have preferred a more consistent group. Now, I wouldn't have 'em any other way. It seems part and parcel of their personality.
While I still think Matt Leinart can be a fine NFL quarterback, you have to feel for whomever succeeds Warner in Arizona. The man practically walks on water during the playoffs.
As to whether or not he's a Hall of Famer, well ... you'd really have to be quite obtuse to think otherwise—which, unfortunately, qualifies innumerable sportswriters.
