NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

I don't know about that poster (the one showing the teams, the Jets, Pats, and Chiefs, not the original poster)

Colts give Anthony Richardson permission to seek out a trade, but I can't really see them getting anything for him. Most likely he'll be one of those QBs traded for a 6th or 7th round pick who just sits there on the bench for the season before becoming a free agent (Zach Wilson, Brett Hundley).

Odd timing. Considering Jones won’t be ready until probably mid year. He must really be disliked in the building.

He's just not good. He wasn't even special in college. Teams were just wowed by his physical ability. As underwhelming as Dalton, Mariota or Garoppolo may be, they still make better decisions than Richardson.

Someone said Richardson could make passes that 99% of other QBs can't, but he was unable to make passes that 99% of other QBs can.

For the third straight year, the NFLPA survey lists the Dolphins as the best team to play for (for off the field stuff). Vikings second, Commanders third.

Worst is Steelers. Second worst is Cardinals. Third worst is Browns.

Seriously, I understand why Malik is going. I am just annoyed that he is not the starting QB for my team. I think someone got overpaid (cough cough) on the Packers.

The UFL this season has a new 4 point FG rule for FGs 60 yds or more. I think that's an interesting idea the NFL should look at. FGs are getting longer in the NFL and that could change things up a bit.

And while I'm talking about it in the wrong thread, the UFL also has a new rule on punting; no punting inside the opponents 50 yard line except in the last two minutes of each half. That would wreck havoc in the NFL. LOLOL

I think field goals should be worth less, considering that they are far easier now.

Swap the point values for FG and Safety.

It's kind of funny (or sad) how Willis looked like the next Nathan Peterman on the Titans and now after two years with the Packers he's going to get a big payday. Shows you how important it is for a QB to be on the right team, although decades of Browns and Jets incompetence already showed that.

That might be akin to a "shadow-bounty", incentivizing defensive linebackers to constantly blitz the QB, presenting higher injury risks to him and the O-line players as well, whenever they're in, or close to, the offensive end-zone. As risk/injury averse as Goodell and the NFL have become in general, I don't see such a thing ever being considered.
