NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

Matthew Stafford injured his throwing hand early in the game yesterday.

He’s getting it examined to see the extent.

I heard the commentators on the game yesterday talking about how Stafford seemed to be wringing/shaking his throwing hand a lot between plays and they were speculating that it might be more serious than initially thought.

Yes and until the final drive there was a precipitous drop off in his numbers.

I think he was 8-8 before the injury, and at one point was 2-10 after that.

We’ll see what they say. It’ll take a lot for Stafford not to go.

For sure.

The Packers missed 2 field goals and an extra point, and lost by 4.

The way Ravens fans are frothing at the mouth over their kicker is funny when you consider that if he had made it, then it would be Steelers fans going after their own kicker because he missed the extra point moments before.

I can't believe the 49ers won that game. The Eagles offense was awful. I doubt they win against Seattle, but just getting to Seattle feels like a victory in and of itself.

I'm glad the Niner offense stepped up. They were in a tough spot thanks to all the injuries

Three NFC West teams in the divisional round.

A few years ago it was three NFC East teams.

Don't know about earlier.

Also, Patriots-Chargers is the first bad game of the playoffs.

The Niners are damn good (and it kills me to say it).

I’m hoping we both win, and get a rematch of the 2022 NFC Championship at SoFi.

The NFC West might be the best division in Football, so having the two teams from that division in the Championship game just seems right.

I feel bad for Herbert, but very pleased to see my Patriots get their first post-Brady playoff win. Both defenses were great, but Maye came through when New England needed him to.

The Chargers need to prioritize the offensive line this offseason. Herbert gets sacked far too frequently. (They should probably move on from Greg Roman, too.)
