Yeah, the Chiefs didn't do anything that special, the Bills and Ravens just choked. Bills have been good at that in recent years.

I think that was mistake for the Lions not to kick the FG there. Puts them up by 3 scores.

And now it is one score.

Huge momentum swing. We'll see if that Dan Campbell steel manages to make the difference but it's looking bad.

Niners/Chiefs would be an unfortunately-familiar outcome for the last several years.

Another 4th down miss. Campbell's luck isn't holding up.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Well that Niner game was a tale of two halves. That first half was atrocious and Wilks should have been fired. After that insane Aiyuk catch off the facemask, the momentum shifted and didn’t shift back. Also, Purdy did more Lamar Jackson things than Lamar did. Who knew Purdy could run like that.

The good news for Detroit is, they'll be back. I even think the end of the game was somewhat encouraging with that final drive to pull it to 3, not ever giving up or wilting. And I appreciated seeing Goff defend Reynolds who dropped a pair of critical passes towards the end. Dan Campbell has them in a good place.

Passing up two field goals and you lose by 3.

Hmmm...

Anyway, great year for the Lions. Lots to be proud of and excited for.

Now...GO CHIEFS!

:scream:

I wouldn't be anywhere near that confident. Mahomes and Brady may have made it look easy to get this far year in, year out but the reality is very different. Next year the Lions won't be sneaking up on anybody - they'll also lose their vaunted OC and they have to deal with a Packers team that suddenly looks very good.

I dunno, were the Lions sneaking up on anybody this year? I think the way their 2022 season ended had a lot of people not only optimistic about them but also gunning for them.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed and Love's Packers are also something to worry about, but I'm a lot less worried than I was about say... the Falcons after their mind-numbing Superbowl collapse.
