Then why was he out there playing on Thursday night? Their second string quarterback couldn't have done any worse.
I also noticed in looking at the schedule, Denver has three prime time games scheduled this year, while Seattle has two. Did the networks and NFL think that Russell and the new look Broncos would be a big draw. If so, they're probably disappointed with the outcome.
Denver were definitely being hyped up. They already had a solid defense and decent enough offensive weapons that everyone thought they were just a QB away from competing, and they either hadn't noticed or were ignoring the fact that Wilson's declining physicality makes him less of a threat now.
This is starting to feel like RG3 all over again. At least he got the Redskins to the playoffs in his rookie season before he destroyed his knees (again). Oh well…

Actually, the defense played pretty well, considering our offense spotted the Cowboys 9 points before most people were in their seats.
Our offensive line is Swiss cheese. Can’t run the ball, can’t protect Stafford. Robinson is a ghost.

My wife and I are headed to Los Angeles next weekend for the Panthers game. If we can’t handle them, might as well pack it in.

Stafford's performance definitely helped cripple my fantasy opponent just enough. Now I just need Ja'Marr Chase to outscore Hayden Hurst.

Seahawks running backs seem to be snakebitten. Rashaad Penny out for the season with a broken fibula and injured tibia. Chris Carson, the previous starter, was injured three out of five seasons and had to retire due to a neck injury. Thomas Rawls, who as a rookie filled in for an injured Marshawn Lynch and was on fire, got hurt that same season and was never the same again.
Steve Wilks? Might as well stuck with Matt Rhule.
