Looks like Watson is set to play tonight in Jacksonville. Give him hell, Jaguars fans!

Seems like the Jets are cursed. Lost their starting RT Becton earlier in the week to a knee injury, QB Zach Wilson left last night’s game with a knee injury.

Just saw Wilson avoided major injury and will be expected to miss 2-4 weeks. That's good news. I would have really hated to see a young talent miss the season because of a preseason game.

NFLPA president JC Tretter calls for the NFL "to re-evaluate what is an acceptable surface for players to compete on" after a preseason game at Soldier Field.

    Fine should’ve been doubled.

Suspension should have been doubled as well.

Is it wrong that I wonder how the initial decision, handed down by a woman, was only 6 games?

Precedent. The NFL’s treatment of these kinds of issues with players and owners in the past factored into her decision. Plus, the NFL was only pursuing a suspension based on four of the incidents.

    Why only 4?

Meanwhile, Calvin Ridley is still on indefinite suspension.

You would have to ask the NFL that one. I imagine it came down to who had the most credible (hard to poke holes in) claims against Watson.

Both Watson and Ridley should be on indefinite suspension. Watson is the slimiest player we know of, Ridley broke the one rule players simply cannot break. No matter how small the amount he bet was.

I doubt this will be the last time we talk about Watson and sexual assault.

Deshaun Watson: 11 games, $5 million fine - 24 sexual misconduct lawsuits.
Ridley: Indefinite - Bet for his team to win
    Burfict: 12 games - Targeting
    Hopkins: 6 games - PED
    Martavis: Indefinite - Weed
Josh Gordon: 76 games - Weed

The NFL is run by cowards.

They’re a business. As long as fans keep watching and spending money on the product, they have no reason to act.

And you forgot Kaepernick. Blackballed for simply kneeling during games because it made white customers uncomfortable.

As evidenced by the NFL having Watson's suspension end right before the Browns play the Texans. They sacrificed "justice" for ratings.

    Absolutely.

And I’m part of the problem, as I’ll be buying Madden NFL 23 tomorrow.

I've pretty much had it with the NFL, expecting them to do the right thing is a losers expectation.
