NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

All of this is completely joking. The closest I got to a professional football team was meeting Mark Rypien's son. But, I did get to help Wayne Gretsky's wife but we didn't have shoes her size.

Oh, ok. Phew! That makes me feel better. I put that quote from Field of Dreams up to play along with what I figured was you joking...but then had a moment of doubt and thought “Man, if he really did come close to playing NFL, that will seem awfully insensitive of me!

Yeah, never played football. Mom wouldn't sign the permission slip.

It was like coming *this close to your dreams, and then watching them brush past you like a stranger in the crowd.

@Spider - Is there any NFL franchise that more actively hates its fans?

Easily the Cincinnati Bengals, they've rolled around in mediocrity for five decades now. Being ran more like a Mom and Pop operation from the 1950's than a modern NFL franchise. The fact that Dave Shula Part II, er... I mean Zac Taylor is getting another season tells one all they need to know.

You butter believe it.

The theory in Houston is that the old Astrodome was built on an ancient Indian burial ground, and because of that we can't have a NFL team that has any true success. Considering the sordid history of both the Oilers and Texans, there could be some merit to that. I'm not usually one to invoke spirits and stuff, but the Texans organization has been spectacularly bad, like above and beyond horridly bad. They're pretty much a laughing stock to a lot of fans in Houston now. We'll see how Texans ownership tries to fix all this. And what happens with Watson.

Exactly what I've said about the Bears. If Virginia decides you're "a good boy", you're golden. Lions could be the same way AFAIK, the Fords seem as backwards and out of touch as the McCaskeys at times.

Wentz to the Colts for this years 3rd round pick and a conditional 2022 2nd round (could become a 1st rounder)

Doesn't seem to be as much as expected, but I'm still glad the Bears didn't waste later picks, plus they are incapable of "fixing" any QB, so it would've been a waste anyway.

Eagles still take a $33.8M dead-cap hit and the Colts take on the $128M extension.
