NFL 2020 Season: We're gonna bite a kneecap off

Does anyone still watch that? I get why they moved it before the SB to increase viewership, but banning SB players (I believe this is still the case, yes?) seemed counter-intuitive. I get they don't want them hurt a week before the finale, but a lot of people used to watch it for the top all-stars of the league, many of whom are SB contenders.

Then there's the weird extra rules that I discovered from Bleacher Report while perusing for Pro Bowl info:
It's nice of them to include families like that.

So, Texans hire Caserio as GM, Culley as HC, and the the team owner is Cal. That's three Cs. What do you do when you drink to much beer? Pee. That CCCP, and proof the Texans are a communist run organization. I hereby boycott them for the next ten minutes.

This is clearly a "win now" move for the Rams, though, with that defense they have. Stafford is arguably underrated and probably gives the Rams a better chance at getting back to the Super Bowl than Goff does.

I'm surprised the Lions got that much for Stafford, to be honest. It is a definite roll-the-dice, win now move for the Rams. They gave up a lot.

Good Lord!

:scream:

Snead and McVay just hate having first round draft picks, I guess.

Goff is 6 years younger than Stafford. And while he definitely left me puzzled at times (furious at others) I'm not sure giving up 2 first rounders along with him is a good trade. On the other hand it seems like Goff has turned into a turnover machine, so...

I guess we'll see.

Haw are the salary cap hits so even? Goff has 2 more years on his current contract than Stafford. Or is this only looking at 2021?

Honestly, I'm alright with this trade. Goff is a way better option than Chase Daniel or David Blough.

Goff was a money dump, and likely responsible for the extra 1st that Detroit gets. If Stafford works out for the Rams, those two firsts are likely in the late-20's, which means they might as well be second round picks by the time the Lions get to use them.

I hope Detroit has an ace scouting department.

Maybe we'll find a modern day George Plimpton

The Paper Lion, I remember that one. :)

I always wanted to stand in the box, and face a Tom Seaver or Nolan Ryan fastball. George lived it.

I loved that movie when I was a kid.

Your 2021 Hall of Fame class:

Charles Woodson
Calvin Johnson
Alan Faneca
John Lynch
Peyton Manning
Tom Flores
Drew Pearson
Bill Nunn

Aaron Donald Defensive Player of the Year. Again.

HOF: nice group. Manning was an insanely good QB.

Play ball. :)

And my $ is on the Chiefs, but it's gonna be close.
