NFL 2019 Season

Gotta be a tunnel or monorail extension or something coming, no good way to walk there. Walked to the In ‘n Out once from the strip, and while possible, total PITA

Predictions for this weekend:

Bills over Texans (this is really a crapshoot as neither team has ever done well in the playoffs and I want both of these teams to succeed)
Patriots over Titans
Saints over Vikings
Seahawks over Eagles

Sam Wyche passed away at 74. I never was a Bengals fan, but he was a heck of a coach.

RIP.

RIP Sam Wyche.

Predictions for this weekend:

Bills... neither team has ever done well in the playoffs

I know it's been over 25 years and they never won the big dance but uh... 4 straight Superbowl appearances isn't nothing.

My full bracket:

5) Buffalo @ 4) Houston - BILLS
6) Tennessee @ 3) New England - PATRIOTS

5) Buffalo @ 1) Baltimore - RAVENS
3) New England @ Kansas City - CHIEFS

2) Kansas City @ 1) Baltimore - RAVENS

6) Minnesota @ 3) New Orleans - SAINTS
5) Seattle @ 4) Philadelphia - SEAHAWKS

5) Seattle @ 1) San Francisco - 49ERS
3) New Orleans @ 2) Green Bay - SAINTS

3) New Orleans @ 1) San Francisco - SAINTS

SUPER BOWL LIV
Baltimore vs New Orleans - RAVENS

RIP Sam Wyche.

I should've added recently. The Bills I have known in my lifetime have been brutal shells of those years.

Oh sheesh! The Cowboys is interviewing Marvin Lewis...

Will Lewis make a good hand puppet for Jerry?

I saw one "story" that said Dungy might/could/should interview. Dungy is nobody's puppet.

I'd feel sorry for Cowboys fans, but as a Bears fan, I got enough to feel bad about.

Pats done. Good job Titans.

I totally agree. Now the Texans go the KC instead of Baltimore. The Texans did beat KC earlier this season, at KC, so it's not like the Texans can't win there. I just don't think they will. But in my dreams, the Texans and Titans both win next week, and the AFC Championship game is in Houston, and will be vs. the former Oilers. How cool would that be?

Well, as long as the Texans win it would be cool.

Texans have been known for playoff chokes, no? This is only the second time they've gotten past the first round IIRC.

More of the same old for us long-suffering Bills fans. Blow a 16-0 lead. Turn a sure sack of Watson into what was basically the game winning play because two blitzers arrive simultaneously, absorb the force of each other's impact leaving Deshaun upright and neither of them wrapping him up with their arms rather than just hitting him.

Too many of the same mistakes from Josh Allen that he has been making the last two years. Dropped passes. Sudden inability of the defense to tackle after playing a tremendous 2 and 1/2 quarters. Lack of creativity in 2nd half on offense.

The final insult - they would have been playing football longer than the Patriots, which hasn't happened in a dog's age.

It was nice to see the Pats come down to earth after all these years. I can only hope that the spoiled fan base is now forced to live through many, many long years of ineptitude, such as the horror that was once known as the Boston Patriots.

I felt badly for the Bills but there's a really good foundation there I think. And Josh Allen won't be Brady, but he's got a lot of upside. The future I think is bright in Buffalo. :)

Meanwhile......:biggrin::biggrin: I don't think I was breathing from the moment Vrabel decided to trust the defense with a minute left and had Kern boot that amazing punt until the moment Brady was intercepted, and then I let out the biggest whoop in a long time. Holy hell, what a game! I kept waiting for something terrible to happen, but the defense did a hell of a job, and Derrick Henry is a monster.

On to Baltimore!

So much butt hurt! not like they were favorites and this was a huge upset, they just weren’t good enough this year. Whether it was yesterday or next week, it was happening.

wasn’t an unexpected loss, Pats didn’t have it this year. Called that up thread. Need a legit outside WR and something passable at TE to have a chance against legit teams, they got too predictable.

And we’ll see how things go with Brady. Personally don’t see him leaving, but never know. either way, will likely be drafting a QB pretty high in April.
