NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? What?

Well they will be missing Jared Allen and Thomas Davis is going to be a significant loss as well but they are still going to be able to squash the run up the middle with their interior line and their secondary could cause some serious problems if Peyton gets a little too overzealous.

Congrats Broncos and Carolina.

Can't say I'm sad the Pats lost. Not sure why they don't have success in Denver, but I'll bet every other stadium would buy some.

Great game to watch no matter....

We saw the old "Bungles" Carson Palmer come out. He's another that just can't handle the big stage. My god he was horrible (and I know his finger was hurt)... but if you are going to be that off, let the other guy play.

Carolina is plain some great football. This should be an interesting SB. Cam is fine when all is going great, we'll see what happens when they come up against this Denver defense. This Denver team is better than the one that played the Sea Chickens. Peyton is playing mistake free football, I'm afraid it's going to have to continue for Denver to win.

The story of the Seahawks this season was about moving on from Marshawn Lynch. Maybe it's because I never paid much attention back when he was the driving force of the offense and so was not blinded by the hype, but I could tell from the start that Rawls was a better runner. And after they both went down, Wilson finally got a chance to prove he has a strong passing game, too. However, the offense is most effective when they can threaten along multiple axes. As decent as Christine Michael was, he was no Rawls.

Assuming they use the offseason to build a killer offense around Rawls and Wilson, with Lockett, Baldwin, and maybe Graham down the field....next year they should be a huge threat.

NFL has decided to bow to bad PR and investigate Peyton Manning over the HGH thing. Kinda shocked that they've decided to do it, but ignoring it was a terrible look. Especially after their Brady freak-out last year. Think Wells is available?

Fully expect them to only pay lip service to it and declare him innocent, but at least they are pretending to look.

Imagine he retires anyway, so suspension is useless, but it would suck otherwise for the team. Broncos would be the ones missing him, Colts are the ones that got the advantage. But they don't usually punish the team directly for HGH players, so punishment would be enforced on the new team...

Is that not news? NFL wanted it forgotten, but the news kept coming, so have to at least pretend to investigate. They announced they were going to investigate, I commented on it.

Entertaining that the same people that had pitchforks ready for Tom Brady couldn't care less about Manning, though...

Tom Brady and the Patriots encouraged pitchfork carrying with their stupid response to a trivial issue.

It must kill you that Peyton is more likable than Tom.

No, I'm really ok with that. Think we've pretty much settled the 'which is better' argument with the 4th superbowl win, no? Doubt Tom cries into his piles of money or supermodel wife over it at night. ;)

Yeah, no hysterical cloth-rending on the other side  It was the lead story on the friggin' NBC Nightly News the next day, for crying out loud. The pitchforks were headed down the road long before Brady had even heard about the issue. But if that helps you feel better about why you could be hysterical about one, and refuse to even consider that the other could have existed...

Do you really think this wasn't worth even looking into?

I didn't say that. I said I had forgotten about it.

I seem to remember the source being really questionable.

IIRC, Al Jazeera was the first source and the person that made the claim recanted. Then there came a second source from a different news outlet but I don't know many details about that one. I stopped paying much attention after the first one backed down. Figured it was bullshit.
