Other than that, how was the game?

Yikes... Figured after Ben went down, that should have been a win, but ugly game. Damned close on that 4th down catch, but just touched the turf...

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Brady vs. the NFL, round 2

The Rams are going to the Super Bowl!

I may have been premature here...

:shifty:

Good God in Heaven, am I sick of losing week after week, year after year. Our offense managed 6 fucking points at home yesterday. 6 points!!! Our running game is atrocious. It's not even professional football at this point.

How bad is it? Our leading rusher has 57 yards. That's not per game, that's total over three games. Oh, and it's Tavon Austin. A fucking wide receiver is our top running back. Todd Gurley yesterday: 6 rushes, 9 yards. Welcome to the NFL, Todd.

Nick Foles slogged his way through another half-assed attempt at quarterbacking. All we needed was one touchdown. Just one!!! :scream: Our defense held the Steelers to 12 points, and we still lost.

Goddamnit all to Hell... fire everyone on the offense, the offensive coordinator, the head coach, the ball boys, :scream::scream:
Damn, bro, you sound like me with the Skins!

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

And that was a fair call. It should never have gotten to that in the first place. Kendrick dropped a perfect ball for the go ahead touchdown because it hit him in the hands and he didn't know what to do.

That, and Foles lobbed up the most beautiful late interception I've seen this year. I guess the deep safety had his invisibility cloak working....

:scream:

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Screw Joe Philbin. A week after the Patriots torched the Bills with short and intermediate quick passes, he and the OC decide to dial up slow developing play after slow developing play. That and the defense couldn't cover, couldn't tackle, couldn't apply pressure.

Demoralizing and embarrassing.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

You know when you play a Madden game for long enough that you reach the point where the league where your team has more randomly-generated fake players than actual NFL players?

That is what happened to the Bears roster in one season.

What the fuck is a Josh Bellamy?

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

^ Psshhhh everybody knows he is the pride of the University of Louisville where he finished his senior season with 24 receptions, 280 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns before bouncing around from NFL practice squad to NFL practice squad.

I thought the Bears weren't playing in 2015 and just playing a double season in 2016. Am I wrong?

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

The Bears have traded Jared Allen to the Panthers (and are covering $11 million of his salary) for a conditional sixth-round draft pick.

I guess they're just burning the car for the insurance money.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

And now Jon Bostic has been traded to the Patriots, also for a sixth-rounder.

Are the Bears going to have enough linebackers to field a defense on Sunday?

Guess they're trying to get the Emery stink out of the building.

Schefter said that the Bears have several trades in the works, which sounds like a fire sale.

It's kind of hilariously appropriate that after how patently obvious they made it that they want Cutler gone (despite him being fucking fantastic this season), they find themselves apparently tanking for a high pick in a year where there are no good QBs in the draft, and they will certainly reach for some shit Hackenberg-level quarterback and just continue to fuck the team forever.

Watch Bostic go to New England and suddenly turn into a productive player.

Aw hell, the Bears would choose this week to do this. My Raiders come to Chicago on Sunday and they're likely going to face a team of guys who feel like they're playing the game for their jobs. Bears may still screw it up but it won't likely be due to lack of motivation. :sigh:

Almost a lock. An odd guy to give up on, 2nd round player that had been mostly a starter and productive. Sure Bill will come up with a way to use him

Big Ben goes down for 4-6 weeks...

Could have been worse I guess, it could have been a tear...

Now my Steelers are in the ever capable hands of Mike Vick.

On tap for the next 6 weeks:

Ravens
@ Chargers
Cardinals
@ Chiefs
Bengals
Raiders

Even with the defense playing better than I had anticipated, we are screwed. We got lucky the Rams decided to drop a few good passes and Foles decided to pass one to our secondary.

Short week to get ready for a "Tuggs/Nada-less" Raven team that will be chomping at the bit to get their first win. I'm afraid Flacco will feast on our secondary and we won't be able to keep up.

We'll see how the left-handed Vick does, but I'm not sure that letting Landry Jones might be a better option. At least he knows the offense and has lots of reps during the preseason.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

...And the circle-jerk of life continues at the Redskins Front Office.

Colt McCoy "injured" by a "foot cut", conveniently paving the way for RGIII's position back into playable reserve as second string behind cousins.

Granted, it is a conspiracy theory of sorts, but based on the antics that we've seen come out of Dulles, VA and Dan Snyder's pinched little brain for the past decade-plus, I think Occam's Razor may fall in favor of the conspiracy in this case.

You really can't make this shit up...

I believe John Beck is still available.

It would be very Skins-like for RG3 to be put in and immediately get injured thereby granted him his money for next year--at least I think that's the case.

McCoy might be the best of all three at this point but really they're interchangeable. You won't win with any of them.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Sadly, very true. Although I always thought Cousins remained the coolest under pressure compared to the others and made less mistakes in general. Yes, he throws interceptions, but then again, he may be following in the philosophical footsteps of the great Joe Theisman, who said, "If you're not throwing interceptions, you're not throwing touchdowns, either!"

Maybe we could get Tebow. I hear he is available, too...

It's amazing what actual, good coaching and game planning can do for a player.

I'll be happy if he just turns into this year's Akeem Ayers.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Disappointed that Baltimore got a win, but I guess one won't hurt. Slows the Steelers down slightly, although I suspect long term exposure to Mike Vick ought to do that on its own.
