So Marc Trestman's desperate ploy to save his job was to have Jimmy fuckin' Clausen throw 39 times.

Okay.

And Jimmy Clausen was diagnosed with a concussion, meaning that Cutler will start for the Bears on Sunday.

I hope Cutler's first play on Sunday is to throw a laser rocket into Trestman's dumb Joel Grey corpse-face, then he kicks him in the nuts and walks off the field and out of the stadium.

Okay.

And he still failed. I'm glad the Bears lost without Cutler. Maybe now people will realize that he wasn't the problem on that team (though I doubt it).

Cutler should never have been removed in the first place; I don't like Clausen but hope he makes a quick recovery. It's not his fault he's in the middle of a terrible situation.

If I were Cutler, I would just ignore every play-call and run whatever I wanted; it's not as though the Bears have anyone better at QB.

Cutler is *a* problem, but yeah, far from the only one. But poor decision making is a killer at QB.

What do we think of the "Harbaugh to the Bears" rumors? It would be nice to have a HC with a little intensity, but Jim might have a little too much of it.

Harbs giving himself a coronary while screaming at Cutler, with Jay just shrugging and walking off, is a very amusing visual.

I doubt it will happen, though. Harbaugh is known to want substantial influence over front office moves and the McCaskeys will never fork out $8 million for a coach.

I think the NFL should adopt a rule that a team cannot make the playoffs without a winning record. If the division winner is 7-9, they pick another wild card team instead. I like unbalanced schedules and choosing division winners because it helps encourage rivalries, but a team should not be able to skate by being awful and then go on to win it all.

You just want it to be the Cowboys :p

But it should show you how absurd I find this situation if I prefer the Cowboys to get in. Don't get me wrong, I don't want some kind of college football selection committee evaluating things. I'm fine with a 10-6 division winner making it over an 11-5 team that failed to win its division. That's a reward for beating your rivals and winning the division. But if you're so pathetic that you can't even win more than you lose, you don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

So I renew my argument :shifty:

I was rooting for the Rams, for my own selfish reasons as a Packers fan.

Got a little scary in the Packers/Lions game when Rodgers went out. Guess a good medical staff can do wonders.

Since I didn't get the NFL package this year I had to watch the Vikings game. There's three hours I want back.

Went to the Broncos game today, a lot of fun.

Do you know why the Raiders always have such a good punter? Because they get lots of practice!

Thank God the season is over for the Redskins. What a joke.

I was at the game yesterday. Some Redskins fans in our group had a miserable day. It was a 60-40 split with fans in the Cowboys favor. The Redskins were audibly booed when they took the field and the Cowboys were cheered. Griffin refuses to even attempt to throw the ball downfield. Had three turnovers in an ugly loss.

Bears have fired Emery and Trestman.

Add Mike Smith to the list as well. We now have Harbaugh, Ryan, Smith and Trestman. You think there will be anymore?

There's also the vacancy in Oakland.

There's always one out-of-nowhere move on Black Monday so I'm going to throw at a dartboard and say Coughlin in New York or Philbin in Miami.
