Imagine a sci-fi show with the depth and scope of, say, Rome. Imagine something like B5 on HBO but without the PG restrictions.

Not sure why people still think cable = useless titillation and obscenity for the hell of it. The number of awards one by cable TV channels for their programmes in the last ten years should be enough to persuade anyone that isn't the case.

There's a vast number of differences between B5 and Rome not the least of which is budget and the fact that if you remove restrictions you get shows like The Sopranos, Deadwood and Rome and there's little evidence that without the restrictions you won't be getting nudity and curse words since that's what people seem to think that's what "adult" means.

Could you perhaps try a second time so I can understand what you are saying in that mess of a run-on sentence?

I think the next DVD movie will be an Atlantis Movie followed by a SG1 movie clearing the way for Star Gate Universe Series.
