next Corps of Engineers print book in fall 2008

The first 28 eBooks were reprinted in seven mass-market paperbacks under the S.C.E. banner:

  • Have Tech, Will Travel
    Miracle Workers
    Some Assembly Required
    No Surrender
    Foundations
    Wildfire
    Breakdowns

And then #29-56 are or will be reprinted in four trade paperbacks under the Corps of Engineers banner:

  • Aftermath
    Grand Designs
    Creative Couplings
    Wounds

Nice, I've got a long way to go before I'm caught up with the old SCE books but I'm currently reading #2 of the old SCE and The Art of the Comeback of the new ones. I'm pleased to say I'm growing attached to the characters now and appreciate their originality; 110 who will become Soloman being one of my faves.

Thanks for the info, Mr. DeCandido.

I don't want half of my books to say S.C.E. and the other half to say Corps of Engineers. I'm OCD about stuff like that. :p

Thanks!
They'll all still say "Star Trek" on them, so does it matter?
Yep! :D
If you want to buy a book about Worf, do you leave it at the store because it says "Deep Space 9" when he was in TNG too?
Of course not, that's just silly.
Do you leave Q-and-A at the store because it uses a different font from the old Survivors era?
No, I leave it at the store because I don't want it. :p
Did you remember to send me that nice large check in the mail? I've been looking for it. ;)
I knew I'd forgotten something! :brickwall:

Actually, OCD is a real medical condition, and it's a bit more complicated and serious than that. Many people will say OCD when they really mean anal retentive.

^ Oh, come on ... This is a Star Trek message board. Can you really expect anyone here to be anal about these things?

Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waiter, and try the veal.

^Sure. Why not?

People here come up with the craziest explanations on why Picard's windows showed no warp effect while the U.S.S. Enterprise-D was on warp, Episode XY. So, why not be overly correct about everything else?

Good news, I just started with the "Grand Designs" omnibus (Can't say much after 50 pages, the fact that I feel asleep while reading was certainly not 'cause of the story, rather that damned night shifts disrupting my sleep-cycles....) and I'm really looking forward to the new Print-Editions of CoE.
And of course, the 10 month gap leaves ample of time to finish Creative Couplings ;)

One slightly offtopic-question: Are there any plans for another Trade-Paperback in late 08? Compared to the first half of 2008, it looks a bit empty in terms of Tradepaperbacks in the second half. (Crossing fingers for a Mere Anarchy Omnibus.....:D)

^ My guess -- and this isn't based on any real evidence, just supposition -- is that the trade list for the end of the year is being reserved for stuff that ties into the movie.

As for Mere Anarchy, we probably won't see that in trade form until 2009 at the earliest.

Gah, who needs that Movie and related stuff, we have Macks Destiny, certainly the more important thing in term of Trek's future in that time :D

^ Can't afford tips or bribes right now. Have to finish putting my wife through grad school while saving to buy a house.

You can't afford tips or bribes, but you can afford monkey food? What's wrong with this picture? ;)

^ The monkey used to work for peanuts. Now he just wants the credit. For instance, he insisted I use his photo for my icon, so people would know the real auteur behind my books.

I always knew you were up to monkey business.

Well, now that explains alot.

(Just kidding, of course) :bolian:
