"Possibly leading to a series?" GMAFB. NCIS is in its 18th year, NCIS:LA is in its 12th; Bakula's installment of the franchise is in its 7th. He's a producer on the show. These shows don't get canceled. He does not need a streaming skiffy show.
There is a Deep Space Nine 4K remaster in development. It's being done by a VFX Studio called FX3X, they've worked on Discovery and Picard and are going to be working on Strange New Worlds.
You're talking to himWhat dubious source did this come from?
You're talking to him![]()
I don't work at this FX company, but I was told this by someone who is close to a few people at ViacomCBS.Can you elaborate on this, do you work for this FX company, is this something you were told or is it the old adage of my uncle works at Nintendo
Or are you on a wind up to get fanboys like me hard?
My uncle went to a BBQ with a guy who talked to...........I don't work at this FX company, but I was told this by someone who is close to a few people at ViacomCBS.
Fewer layers, but yeah. We'll see I guess. My uncle went to a BBQ with a guy who talked to...........
It's a deep cut......was a guy here 20 years ago that claimed to have Enterprise spoilers from his uncle at a BBQ.......Fewer layers, but yeah. We'll see I guess.
Are they just doing the effects, or the full post-production? Google suggests they have a facility in North Hollywood.Still, it's kind of weird that we are finally getting the DS9 remaster. You'd think they'd have other stuff to work on for Secret Hideout, plus I doubt remastering an old show is cheap. Nevertheless, I'm excited we're getting this remaster. Let's hope Voyager is next.
I'm honestly not sure. I'm not well-versed in this stuff. All I know is, FX3X's Macedonian facility will be working on a remaster of DS9 soon. A 4K scan of the original filmed footage will be used for the remaster. The remaster will include new VFX that will be created using AI?Are they just doing the effects, or the full post-production? Google suggests they have a facility in North Hollywood.
Fingers crossed anyway.
Hmm. Dare we hope? I don't know anything about this website. I just googled and found:
https://www.thevulcanreporter.com/exclusives/star-trek-deep-space-nine-remaster/
I'll just ignore that "ah" and say that none of my Star Trek scoops have been officially confirmed or denied, yet. It's up to you if you want to believe this or not, I'm just waiting for them to announce it. I just hope they do it as soon as production on the project starts, and not after it's done. That article is by the poster who announced this "news" uptopic.
Please do check him out on Twitter, among other places. You'll get a clearer picture of his, ah, reliability.
