COVID’s not good for a lot of businesses. Particularly show business. Tenet, which Christopher Nolan HAD to have in theaters has only made about $250 million worldwide. For a movie like that, that should have been the first week. In the United States alone. I just find it strange that Viacom would continue to want to release these niche things (yes, Trek is niche) for maybe about 1000 people who would be interested and willing to go out to a theater. It’s not worth it financially. Even if they do own the theaters. I could see pre-COVID this happening. Absolutely. But it’s a silly idea in this climate.
