As long as it's got nothing to do with that script, there's hope!
*blinks in Deep Space Nine*Because nothing says Star Trek like wars.
The vast migration of Star Wars fans?Because nothing says Star Trek like wars.
No no, that's that Star Wars Trek. The vast migration of Star Wars fans?
You're right... I mean the last four seasons of DS9 are considered the worst Trek in existence by the fanbase...oh, wait...Because nothing says Star Trek like wars.
What's this about a new TV project?Inglorious Treksperts allegedly talked about the Toby Haynes movie back in September, it's apparently a Romulan War film.
There was also allegedly a Janeway project scripted by John Logan that was scrapped.
Grain of salt and all that, hence why I posted it in this thread

Is he trying to redeem himself or something? God does love a trier…[snip]…scripted by John Logan [that was scrapped].
Did they not learn their lesson? Taking with huge grain if salt........Inglorious Treksperts allegedly talked about the Toby Haynes movie back in September, it's apparently a Romulan War film.

Nope. Are Inglorious Treksperts worth a fuck? Really?
Tbf the reporting from the panel they did at GalaxyCon proved to be mostly accurate, i.e. there is a prequel film script in development at Paramount that involves Romulans in the early days of human interstellar flight.

At least that means it's not the Romulan War. I'm guessing a Kelvin-era prequel?I should add this in the spirit of the thread: Space.com writes "Haynes is helming this upcoming "Star Trek" film, which is destined to examine the early days of Starfleet a generation or so after the events of the prime universe's "Star Trek: Enterprise." If they're claiming the Deadline report says this, then they're reading things into the report that it doesn't actually say. But if they're saying they have independent sources verifying this (they aren't particularly clear on this point), that would at least verify the "early days of human interstellar flight" part if we treat them as a legitimate primary source.

That would be my guess, assuming it's "decades before" the main plot of the 2009 movie rather than decades before the cold open.I'm guessing a Kelvin-era prequel
