Spoilers NEWS FROM NY COMIC CON 2019...

There's a space map on display at NYCC. Romulan space is still there but no more Cardassian Union:

Wow that’s a very condensed map lol

Do these costumes give anyone else a vaguely western vibe? I've gotten a slight Firefly-esque undertone from many of the Picard promotional materials so far, and I continue to get that here. Which I like. It's a far cry from past costumes, but gods know (a) they can't age worse than some of Trek's prior offerings and (b) it's time civilians got to wear something other than pajamas. It's really fun for me to see my favorite era through the eyes of a new production team.

It's interesting how that map borrowed a lot of elements from the Star Trek Star Charts book from 2002. It's not a 100% match, of course, but still kind of close.
Most of the maps in Discovery were also copied directly from Star charts.

Sometimes to a fault, as a couple screens mentioned the Enterprise-A, had outdated labels and some systems that shouldn’t have been discovered yet, like Iconia.

note, if there is a trailer or clips shown they’ll probably cut away until it’s over, for copyright reasons.

True, but for the San Diego Comic Con, we didn’t have to wait too long (a few minutes at most) before the trailer was posted online on startrek.com

Cool, anybody wanna bet that that map is on the wall behind Picard and the StarFleet Admiral in the trailer?

Also, it pretty much matches the current STO map.
(albeit somewhat condensed)

The one on the admiral’s wall appeared to have colour coded political entities, this one isn’t. Though it could be a variant of it without the colours.

STO’s map is based off Star Charts and Stellar Cartography, as is this map.

I thought the costumes had a kind of western vibe to them and some other scifi series. The Romulan star map is intriguing

Picard and Data in their Next Gen-era unis at the start is dreadful. Sorry.

Discovery shuttles and San Francisco CG.

AN ARMY OF SOONG-ISH ANDROIDS???

TOS Romulan Bird of Prey?!?!?!??

RIKER AND TROI
