That's rather annoyingly late at night for the Brits. Guess I have news coming 8/11
A live blog will be put up on Variety soon, so you'll be able to follow from there.
It seems any time I hear "news coming today!", it always ends up being later in the day for Americans, making us wait another day.
Time zones are the worst.
Same for the Swedes, except I'll be waiting for 11/8
Hope I wake up to some good news tomorrow
Yeah, I was surprised there wasn't any news out of the convention. Back in the pre-Internet days, that was my main source of upcoming information.
could be worse. it could be pre internet days and have to wait for next months starlog
I'm retired, and even I barely remember the pre internet days. LOL
I could live with that. As long as there wasn't a subscription charge for that.
AICN says news should be coming from 4:30pm PST - http://www.aintitcool.com/node/75945
I'm awake until 1am then.
One of the small bits and pieces we know so far is the director of the pilot episode is David Semel. He's done other pilots for TV shows, but the one I'm most familiar with, The Man In The High Castle, was just excellent.
I want to be, but I've had four hours sleep in the past three days and am now terrified at the concept of waking up to multiple threads here
These last 9 days have flown by but today is taking for ever!
I shall not sleep until I know the secrets of Gen- Discovery!
I'm not sure we're supposed to post links like this, so before hand I apologize if this is against the rules. This is an interesting site (which kind of looks like a personal site) keeping a nice, searchable web page on the new series. It doesn't have much yet of course, but I thought it interesting. I found it while looking for current news on Discovery.
You can follow everything here.
A female lead
..but not necessarily female captain. I hope that's not what we waited a week for...
"Sources tell THR the rest of the cast will also feature an openly gay actor play one one of the male leads, a female admiral, a male Klingon captain, a male admiral, a male adviser and a British male doctor."
Separate names with a comma.
