Newbie in StarTrek World

Welcome to the world of Star Trek!

I'm sure others will vote in and say start with Enterprise since it "takes place before The Original Series (TOS)",..... but my vote goes to starting with TOS. Have fun!

I agree, start with the original, but I also don't think it hurts to start with ENTERPRISE. The continuity errors in ENTERPRISE might confuse the hell out our new friend, but, that's what we're here for.
If they start with ENTERRISE, how would they know?;)

Yeah! TOS was the one with the continuity errors! :klingon:

Another way to go would be to watch the pilot episodes of each show, then follow on from whichever one you like best.

As for the TOS being dated comments....so what?? TV today is 99% worthless trash. The older, the better.

The TNG series ended in 1994. Two years before I was born. There is nothing "modern" about it. Though you will enjoy laughing at the 90's hairstyles of the female guest stars. TV was different back in the 90's compared to what we are used to now.

True. It was better. And when TNG started in the late 1980's it was even better.

And when I was a little kid in the 1970's it was even better.

But we're getting off the track here. I'm interested in hearing the OP's opinion of what they've seen so far.

Oh, my. Even at age 31, I can see that the proverbial shoe is now on the other foot. Well, let the new wave ridicule the Berman era. It is a right of passage every generation must endure sooner than expected. Just remember young man (lady?), you will endure the same right of passage one day yourself.
